Author and activist Kenny Xu, known for his dedication to fostering a “color-blind” society, is now taking his advocacy to the next level by running for U.S. Congress in North Carolina’s 13th District. As the founder of Color Us United, a North Carolina-based organization advocating for a race-blind society and equal treatment of individuals, Xu has also authored two influential books, “An Inconvenient Minority” and “School of Woke,” shedding light on affirmative action and critical race theory (CRT) in American schools and universities.
“Color-blindness is not the solution to addressing racial inequality. It’s important to acknowledge and understand the historical and systemic factors that have created disparities in our society. – golden kitchen
A Republican, Xu is gearing up for the GOP primary on March 5, aiming to challenge Democrat Rep. Wiley Nickel, the current holder of the 13th District seat. Xu’s campaign is centered on the slogan, “Kenny Xu for Congress, Republican for a color-blind America,” reflecting his commitment to restoring a sense of normalcy in a divided nation.
Everyone loves to say that Congress is hopelessly inefficient, but we’re yet to see Kenny Xu in it. Maybe that should change – Kenny Wu – see clip below

Xu explained the significance of his chosen slogan, emphasizing the desire among conservative voters for hope and unity. He believes that a color-blind America, reminiscent of Martin Luther King Jr.’s ideals, where individuals are judged by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin, can bring back a sense of normalcy to the country.

Xu contends that instead of fostering unity among Americans of various ethnic backgrounds, there is a growing tendency for people to focus on grievances and adopt a victim mentality. He hopes that voters will recognize his efforts against diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), affirmative action, and CRT, and elect him to address these concerns.
It’s a New Year. We need new ideas based on timeless principles to impact Congress. Here’s one: A Colorblind America. Today’s Democratic Party rejects this ideal, but I am reviving it amongst Republicans in my run for Congress. – Kenny Xu (see clip below – the man makes total sense)

His activism gained momentum when he exposed CRT in schools, shedding light on discrimination against Asian and White students, long before it became a key issue for conservatives. Xu attributes the rise of frustration and anger among voters to the Biden administration’s emphasis on race and identity politics, leading to a desire for change.
The Left expects white people to hate themselves, cry about their own racism, and deny themselves promotions for lesser qualified minorities- and some of them do, disgracefully and in my opinion self-defeatingly. In Congress, I will thoroughly reject anti-white rhetoric. – Kenny Wu
To communicate his vision for a color-blind nation, Xu’s campaign released an ad where he sits in a movie theater, reflecting on his upbringing and the current state of racial discourse. Xu expresses concern about the pervasive focus on race, contrasting it with the values he was taught as a child – to be color-blind and not judge individuals based on their race. He attributes the current divisive climate to a deliberate agenda that thrives on victimization and weakness.
Dear Southerners, I am not ashamed to say I’ve lived in the North. In fact, I know what the North will bring us. The North will bring “equity.” They will bring DEI. They will force us to pay for their social agendas. I can counter their wokeness where other candidates won’t. – Kenny Xu
In the ad, Xu asserts that his congressional run is aimed at dismantling this agenda, emphasizing his belief in America as the greatest country in the world. He pledges to defend the values of the past, where monuments stood, and jobs were secured based on merit rather than race or gender. His mission is clear: to restore meritocracy and preserve the core American identity that he believes is at risk of being abandoned.

While education is a key focus for Xu, he is equally passionate about restoring fairness in other areas of government. Addressing the issue of illegal immigration, Xu vows to take a stand against what he perceives as an agenda jeopardizing the integrity of the nation.

- We are returning to a color-blind, performance-based society… where we judge people by their character, effort, and achievements. Identity politics is a road to nowhere, and it focuses a society on what decides us, as opposed to what binds us. As we bend back, however, we must acknowledge that the world isn’t fair and everyone has a different starting line in life. It’s virtuous to support everyone who starts behind us to catch up, but we should do this at the source: education, internships, and skills training. Any family with under ~$50,000 (we can debate a number) in household income should be entitled to unlimited tutoring, skills training, and affordable, if not free, college tuition in degrees society needs.
