In a recent press briefing, White House National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, John Kirby, reiterated the Biden administration’s commitment to supporting “free, fair, open, and transparent elections” in Taiwan. This statement came in response to reports of alleged Chinese surveillance balloons crossing the Taiwan Strait, prompting concerns about potential Chinese Communist Party (CCP) interference in the upcoming Taiwanese elections scheduled for January 13.

During the briefing, held on January 4 alongside press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, Mr. Kirby addressed the issue raised by Taiwan’s defense ministry regarding four suspected Chinese balloons passing over the island. However, he refrained from confirming the reports and directed the media to seek information from officials in Taiwan and China regarding the alleged sightings.

Emphasizing Washington’s backing for the democratic institutions of Taiwan, Mr. Kirby expressed the administration’s vigilance against external interference in the island’s electoral process. He stated, “We’re certainly mindful that outside actors could try to interfere, and we continue to urge anyone outside Taiwan not to interfere in their ability to have a free, fair, democratic election.”

Taiwan’s defense ministry labeled the four balloons as “vessels” and reported their detection crossing the median line of the Taiwan Strait, southwest of Ching Chuan Kang Air Base in Taichung. Three of these vessels reportedly flew directly over the island at altitudes ranging from 3,659 to 6,706 meters, while the fourth hovered north of Keelung, a key trading port with Japan. As of now, China’s defense ministry has not officially commented on these reported surveillance balloon incursions.

The alleged incidents occurred just days before Taiwan’s crucial presidential and legislative elections, involving around 19.5 million voters. With the election scheduled for January 13, concerns have risen about the potential impact of external interference on the democratic process in Taiwan.
Taiwan‘s government says it will share its knowledge of China’s attempts to interfere in elections. I think we can count on China to do everything to influence the outcome of the election.

The Biden administration’s cautionary stance aligns with their support for Taiwan’s democratic institutions and the rights of its people to determine their governance independently. Mr. Kirby, in a separate interview with VOA, underscored the importance of respecting Taiwan’s democratic processes, emphasizing that the United States does not want any external actor, be it a nation-state or otherwise, to interfere in the upcoming election.
While Chinese planes and warships surround Taiwan, China continues to use cross-strait religious and cultural exchanges to interfere in Taiwan’s upcoming national elections.

While acknowledging the reported balloon incursions, Mr. Kirby refrained from confirming allegations made by Taiwanese prosecutors regarding CCP attempts to influence the election through bribery. He stated, “We want these elections to be free and fair and transparent. We want the will of the people of Taiwan to be respected. We’ll just monitor this as closely as we can.”

Addressing potential doubts about the legitimacy of the election results if CCP interference is proven, Mr. Kirby declined to speculate. Instead, he emphasized the administration’s focus on ensuring that the people of Taiwan can cast their votes with confidence, knowing that their voices will be heard and their ballots appropriately tallied.
Drawing parallels to a previous incident in North America where U.S. officials shot down a massive Chinese balloon near sensitive military sites, the Biden administration pointed out that the balloon was part of the CCP’s extensive military-linked aerial surveillance program, targeting over 40 countries. This incident underscores the broader concerns about China’s aggressive stance in deploying aerial surveillance assets beyond its borders.

To Sum It All Up: the Biden administration’s warning against CCP interference in Taiwan’s elections reflects a commitment to safeguarding democratic processes and ensuring a transparent and fair electoral outcome for the people of Taiwan. As the island nation prepares for a pivotal election, international scrutiny remains focused on preserving the integrity of its democratic institutions.

In 8 days, the people of Taiwan will freely and democratically elect a new President.
They even have 3 choices.
This is the ballot.

Another view of it all – and Deep State – Biden Admin connection
The U.S. interference in the 2024 Taiwan province elections is Massive and it goes Deeper than what you thought. 1) The U.S. picked and trained a President and Vice President for the DPP via CIA representatives. 2) The CIA instructed these two candidates to provoke the mainland on live TV. during debates acting as the innocent ones for small sound bites to push fake news into the Mainstream Media in the U.S. to build fear into the American people regarding mainland China. 3) The CIA instructed Hsiao Bi-khim to go to universities and lie that the Islands would not start a war with mainland China just to get them to vote because the majority of people wanted peace with mainland China. 4) The Biden admin is secretly importing heavy military weapons into the island. 5) The CIA instructed the Mainstream TV Channels on the island to perform an MK Ultra-like-style idea on the innocent people on the island. 6) Election fraud is the only way forward for the DPP because majority people on the Island want to have peace with mainland China but the DPP was instructed to start war. Democracy in Taiwan is a sham!
Major Points Discussed:
- China intends on taking Taiwan one way or another, and with a bribed American president who does whatever they want, including hiding the facts, Xi is confident Taiwan will be China’s.
- Biden administration emphasizes commitment to “free, fair, open, and transparent elections” in Taiwan.
- Concerns arise over alleged Chinese surveillance balloons crossing the Taiwan Strait ahead of the January 13 elections.
- White House’s John Kirby urges media to refer to Taiwan and China for confirmation, while expressing support for Taiwan’s democratic institutions.
- Taiwan’s defense ministry reports four suspected Chinese balloons, labeled as “vessels,” crossing the median line, prompting heightened security concerns.
- Biden administration underscores the importance of respecting Taiwan’s democratic processes, monitoring for interference, and ensuring a safe and transparent election process.

- Two weeks before the elections in Taiwan, China sent a new signal to the United States. Chinese scientists conducted demonstration exercises of a new type of weapon – an electromagnetic gun that fires projectiles. They fly at hypersonic speeds and destroy everything in their path. For clarity, the Chinese tested the weapon on an analogue of the American M1 tank. If hit by a hypersonic projectile, the tank’s electronic systems would be destroyed – and crew members would be seriously injured – from the impact alone and the energy released. Recently, the Chinese also demonstrated an electromagnetic ship gun – firing projectiles at a distance of 100-200 km. The Pentagon has been trying to develop a similar weapon since 2011, but due to numerous failures, it abandoned the matter, switching to hypersonic missiles, which, however, are also sad. The Chinese were able to “make friends” of their electromagnetic guns with AI – which itself learns to correct mistakes. Beijing plans to equip the next generation of aircraft carriers with electromagnetic cannons. And they can receive baptism of fire in the event of a war for Taiwan. It’s not for nothing that the Chinese are also simulating hypersonic strikes on American aircraft carriers. The situation around Taiwan is heating up ahead of the elections. The United States hastily removes the Gerald Ford aircraft carrier group from combat duty in Israel so that in case of force majeure it can be sent to Taiwan. However, the likelihood of war right now is low. China will probably wait for increased political instability in the United States – and for the commissioning of its new generation of weapons, which will allow it to gain a technological gap from the Americans. – RD reports – Zlatti 71
