Inflation, a pervasive force influencing various sectors, has become a formidable challenge for businesses, compelling some entrepreneurs to make tough decisions, such as increasing prices. Recently, Will Restaurants Investment Group’s founder and CEO, Brian Will, shed light on the escalating costs that prompted him to price a BLT sandwich at nearly $16.

Personally, I noticed that when inflation began to skyrocket was immediately after Biden issued 4 trillion dollars in bunk COVID stimulus programs. Clearly they printed a lot of money for that which debased existing supply. – The Darklord
During an interview on “Varney & Co.,” Will discussed the factors contributing to the rising cost of his popular BLT sandwich, which originally sold for $12.99 three years ago. Contrary to assumptions about a significant increase in the wholesale cost of the sandwich, Will clarified that it is only $5. However, operational expenses, including rent, utilities, and labor, have compelled him to adjust the pricing.
Will offered a glimpse into the financial intricacies of running a restaurant by detailing his monthly expenses. The rent alone for one of his restaurant spaces in a “new mixed-use development” amounts to $20,000 per month, a substantial figure justified by the strategic location.
Bidenomics at work. Food inflation is just 1 driving force behind many of the challenges businesses face today. It has caused one restaurant owner to charge nearly $16 for a BLT sandwich due to rising costs. The American people can't take four more years of liberals in power. pic.twitter.com/Z0BXk7wQM2

“My utilities [are] $6,000 a month. My labor in December [was] $60,000, which means I’ve got $86,000 of base cost the day I open the doors on January 1,” explained Will.
Taking into account a 32% food cost and factoring in other expenses, Will emphasized that each BLT sandwich yields only $11 of gross profit. To break even, he would need to sell a staggering 93,000 sandwiches, illustrating the financial challenges faced by restaurateurs in the current economic climate. – You can read more at Fox Business
The typical American family needs $11,434 per year in additional income just to maintain the same standard of living they had when Joe Biden took office. So much for beating inflation. The categories making Americans struggle include food, transportation, housing, and energy — which together make up 80 cents on every additional dollar spent.

Food inflation is taking its toll on average American families. Americans feel it when they walk into the grocery store. Food prices increased nearly 6 percent in 2023, according to the Department of Agriculture. https://t.co/6UGyIT3ntM

As of Jan. 3, 2024 our nation’s debt is $34 Trillion and growing. An open border with possibly 15 million illegals scattered all over the USA. Inflation so bad many of is working 2 jobs. We all need to demand government accountability this election year. – See U.S. Debt Clock
Record deficits. Record inflation. Record national debt. Record deaths from Fentanyl. Record illegal crossings into USA. Record spending to support those illegals. … Record need to replace our incompetent POTUS.
The Democrats are not telling the truth about why inflation is happening and why it will get worse no matter what. USA is printing money to cover the interest on the 34 trillion in debt or USA will default, and hyperinflation will occur next. USA is bankrupt. This is almost unstoppable outside of a massive Trump plan to ‘Drill baby drill’ as he says. Back to Will Restaurants….
Established in 2010, Will Restaurants Investment Group manages various restaurant brands, including Central City Tavern, The Tavern House, The Derby Sports Bar, and Cantina Loca. Will highlighted the evolving economic landscape, stating that the conditions have significantly changed since the initial lease agreement.
“We signed our lease pre-COVID with fixed increases every year. And I have a personal guarantee, so my rent isn’t going down. It’s going up every year forever,” stressed Will.
The harsh reality of owning a restaurant in today’s inflationary environment.

“Biden certainly can’t run on his record as president, which is abysmal. He’s directly responsible for the highest inflation in a generation, a border invasion, & chaos around the world. Biden, who came into office promising to bring “unity”, has delivered nothing but division.” The Ponderer
The commercial real estate industry, grappling with rising interest rates and the impact of remote work, has further compounded the challenges for businesses like Will’s. Despite experiencing a significant drop in revenue per operation, approximately $350,000 per store, Will has witnessed a surge in costs over the past three years. Labor expenses have risen by 30%, insurance by 40%, and rent by 10%, making it increasingly challenging for restaurateurs to maintain profitability.
While American’s Are Struggling To Pay Bills & Inflation Is Skyrocketing, A New Report Has Come Out Showing Government Spending The US Government Is Spending Millions On Studying Transgender Monkeys & Giving Female Hormones To Male Monkeys. They Spent $200 Million Giving Our Richest Music Artists More Money “The list is long. It adds up to $900,000,000. Included in the list, the SBA approving PPP loans for scammers using photos of Barbie dolls, the DOD destroying more than $169,000,000 worth of military equipment by leaving it outside, and the NIH paying for research to study the sleep habits of monkeys on meth. And that wasn’t the only study they did on monkeys. continued below this fast clip

They did one other one. Let’s go ahead and pull up this list here: – They studied transgender monkeys. – They studied Russian cats – and $236,000,000,000 spent in improper payments I took a look at that also. Uh, Joe Yeah. Transgender monkeys, really? Is that something that who does that benefit? Not sure how to answer that question. $400,000 to a Florida lab to study the results of giving female hormones to male monkeys. What they wanted to determine I have to actually read this because I’ve never processed these words like this altogether before. What they wanted to determine if Transgender monkeys became more susceptible to HIV after the forced hormone treatments. Exactly. Who is benefiting From this, besides the trans monkey community, I have no idea. And I actually took a look at this report. Lisa, there are other, uh, peculiar things in there, $6,000,000 to promote tourism in Egypt. Not sure why we’re paying for that. $200,000,000 to study struggling no. No. Not to study, to give to struggling artists Post Malone, Chris Brown, and Lil Wayne.
Why are we giving these struggling artists money? I don’t know, and that’s a good question to ask. Look, I I love this report because it’s forcing a conversation about wasteful government spent spending. And how often do we have that conversation? But I actually think even more egregious than the transgendering of monkeys is the fact that we’re $34,000,000,000,000 in debt. And what Rand Paul points out in this report is we spent $659,000,000,000 last year just paying off the interest on that debt. We borrow a lot of that money from China. So this is making us more poor as a nation. It’s making us a national security at risk, putting us, uh, you know, dependent on, uh, enemy nation Like China, and then you look at the COVID spending alone, $5,000,000,000,000 in a 2 year period through, you know, uh, 6 different laws.
Right. You know, it it spending better we’ve never had in US history like that before. So, you know, this is destroying the country, and so I’m glad that he’s forcing this conversation. Some Yeah. US deficit effectively doubled in 2023. Think about that for a moment because of the interest that that Lisa’s talking about. And Democrats and Republicans, administrations alike, have been horrible on spending. Inflation right now. You know, Americans are maxed out financially. Credit card debts are $1,000,000,000,000 right now. And so, you know, the government spends this money, then we have inflation, and now people are going into debt just trying to pay for grocery.” (see clip below)

To Sum It All Up: the story of Will Restaurants Investment Group exemplifies the broader impact of inflation on businesses, particularly in the restaurant industry. Entrepreneurs are forced to adapt to changing economic conditions, navigating through rising costs and evolving consumer expectations. As inflation continues to influence various sectors, it remains essential for businesses to implement strategic measures to remain viable in an ever-changing market.
The Democrat Party along with their RINO helpers, seem to intend on collapsing the United States within a few years, with massive debt that cannot be repaid. The tab for illegals lone in 2024 is estimated by Congress to be well over 451 billion dollars. The maintenance on the current debt is now surpassing 1 trillion dollars, which means combined, this is twice what we spend on the military per year and we cannot pay the bills. Money has to be printed in the trillions yet again, further eroding the dollar and hurting all Americans.
Major Points Discussed:
- While American’s Are Struggling To Pay Bills & Inflation Is Skyrocketing, A New Report Has Come Out Showing Government Spending The US Government Is Spending Millions On Studying Transgender Monkeys & Giving Female Hormones To Male Monkeys, among many other atrocities. All designed to bilk American taxpayers out of their money.
- Inflation is a significant challenge impacting businesses, leading to price increases for goods and services.
- Credit card debts are $1,000,000,000,000 right now. And so, you know, the government spends this money, then we have inflation, and now people are going into debt just trying to pay for groceries. – Rand Paul
- Inflation followed by the Fed’s panic rate increases have combined to wipe out 1/4 of our retirement savings. Inflation has reduced the buying power of American’s retirement savings. So even if your account has risen in dollar value, for most it is still falling behind. In order to maintain the same standard of living, the average American has to pay $11,400 more per year since January 2021.
- Will Restaurants Investment Group CEO Brian Will discussed the reasons behind a $16 BLT sandwich, attributing the rise to operational expenses rather than a substantial increase in the sandwich’s wholesale cost.
- Monthly expenses for running a restaurant, including $20,000 in rent, $6,000 in utilities, and $60,000 in labor, contribute to the need for price adjustments.
- Will emphasized that, with a 32% food cost, each BLT sandwich generates only $11 of gross profit, illustrating the financial challenges faced by restaurateurs in the current economic climate.
- The changing economic landscape, influenced by factors like fixed lease increases, rising interest rates, and the impact of remote work, further complicates the financial picture for businesses, with Will noting a drop in revenue and significant cost increases over the past three years.
