    Charlie Kirk said: Stop me if you’ve heard this before: House Republicans struck a spending deal with Democrats over the weekend to avoid a government shutdown. Speaker Johnson claims that it’s, quote, “the most favorable budget agreement Republicans have achieved in over a decade.” No surprise, the outcome is a big disappointment for the right. The spending figures are $886 billion for defense spending and $704 billion for discretionary non-defense spending, plus a “side deal” for another $69 billion in non-defense spending. So really, it’s $773 billion in non-defense spending, but the press is reporting it as $704 billion plus a “side deal,” for some reason. So, in return for this spending, we get…a $10 billion cut to the $80 billion the House gave to the IRS two years ago. In addition, another $6 billion would be cut from various COVID-era slush funds that are still around, for some reason. So that’s $16 billion, literally less than one percent of the total spending in the package. But what’s missing?

    Oh, right: Literally nothing to secure the border, which is in total meltdown. This is basically the same deal conservatives were so disappointed in last summer that they fired Kevin McCarthy for. Four months later and we’re back where we started. If you need another read on the quality of this deal, there’s this: Chuck Schumer and Joe Biden are both celebrating it without reservation. Biden said this on Sunday: “The bipartisan funding framework congressional leaders have reached moves us one step closer to preventing a needless government shutdown and protecting important national priorities.” Disappointments like this are going to keep happening, as long as Republicans keep signaling that they’re unwilling to actually shut down the government for even a single day. As long as they send that message, they have no leverage. Democrats know they will submit. For now, the Freedom Caucus says that the deal framework is “totally unacceptable.” I agree and hope they hold the line in demanding more. But we’ll see if that happens.

    House Speaker Mike Johnson announced on Sunday that Congressional negotiators have successfully hammered out a topline spending figure, a crucial step to prevent a federal government shutdown. The looming deadlines are set for January 19 for certain government agencies and February 2 for others.

    In a “Dear Colleague” letter circulated on Sunday, Johnson disclosed that the topline deal, largely aligning with a prior agreement between the White House and former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), places a cap on discretionary spending at $1.66 trillion overall. This represents a significant achievement for Republicans, with an additional $16 billion in spending cuts compared to the McCarthy deal and a reduction of around $30 billion from the Senate Democrats’ initial proposal.

    Johnson emphasized the historic nature of the budget agreement, stating, “This represents the most favorable budget agreement Republicans have achieved in over a decade.” Which is a total lie.  He highlighted that negotiators had previously agreed upon extra-statutory adjustments last summer, with the current deal securing over $16 billion in additional spending cuts to offset discretionary spending levels. Which is another lie.  This is 98% Nancy Pelosi’s budget, designed to bankrupt the country.

    Breaking down the specifics of the agreement, the deal allocates $886.3 billion for defense spending, $772.7 billion for domestic discretionary spending, and rescinds $6.1 billion in coronavirus emergency spending authority. Furthermore, the deal accelerates $20 billion in cuts from the $80 billion IRS funding allocated under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act.

    President Biden’s staff released a statement, expressing satisfaction with the bipartisan funding framework, noting that it moves the government closer to averting a shutdown and prioritizing national needs. The statement affirmed the agreement’s alignment with funding levels negotiated and signed into law last spring, emphasizing the rejection of deep cuts to essential programs.  Knowing Biden is all for it, you know it is a horrible agreement for America and Johnson is a traitor to MAGA and America itself.

    House Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries issued a joint statement in support of the agreement. They highlighted its role in safeguarding investments for hardworking American families and the avoidance of extreme policies. Additionally, the leaders conveyed their stance against including controversial policy changes in the upcoming appropriations bills. in essence, Democrats want to spend as much money that we don’t have as humanly possible. The more debt, the happier they are as we crash and burn.

    However, the path forward may face challenges from House conservatives, who have previously opposed debt ceiling agreements due to a lack of spending offsets. This agreement, distinct from funding for Israel and Ukraine, may face scrutiny from some Republicans on those grounds. To say the least.

    The looming deadline of January 19, less than two weeks away, raises questions about the actual urgency, with some speculating that the true deadline might be February 3. While House conservatives could pose a challenge, the possibility of another temporary and clean continuing resolution to buy time and avoid budget cuts remains on the table.

    Looking ahead, challenges may arise from internal divisions among Republicans, particularly concerning funding for Israel and Ukraine. The potential passage of any bill in the House may rely on Democrat support, causing dissent within the Republican ranks. The Democrats know Republican opposition will now grow every day, so the RINOS will scam this in to help the Deep State and Democrats destroy the dollar and throw America into such terrible debt that we cannot recover, and that has been the plan all along.

    To Sum it all up: while the spending agreement is a significant step toward averting a government shutdown, challenges remain on various fronts, making the final outcome uncertain. The dynamics within Congress, particularly among Republicans, will play a crucial role in determining the extent of the final agreement. Virtually nothing has been changed and the United States is going off of a cliff.  Many have said this is due to the Democrat plan to destroy the nation by overwhelming it with debt. It’s called the Cloward-Piven plan, which Democrats swear allegiance to and do all they can to follow.  One wonders why RINOS, and now con-artists like Speaker Johnson go along with them.  They aren’t even trying to stop it.  Remember the end goal of these animals. The destruction of freedom, and collapse of the dollar so they can ‘reset’ the economy along Marxist lines.  They will have to try gun confiscation as well, and once that starts, all bets are off.
