    Hunter Biden Faces Federal Charges: A Deep Dive into the Tax Evasion Allegations

    Hunter Biden made his inaugural appearance in a federal criminal case resulting from Special Counsel David Weiss’ investigation on Thursday in California. The first son appeared in the U.S. District Court in Downtown Los Angeles at 4 p.m. ET, 1 p.m. local time, with Judge Mark Scarsi overseeing the proceedings. Following the hearing, it is anticipated that Hunter Biden will be processed by the U.S. Marshals Service.

    Hunter Biden said Kevin Morris, a prominent Hollywood attorney, is like a brother to him. Morris, according to an IRS agent involved in the Hunter Biden tax investigation, has spent nearly $5 million on behalf of the president’s son- Catherine Herridge  see clip below

    In December, while his leash from Obama was temporarily off, Weiss brought charges against Biden, alleging a “four-year scheme” in which the president’s son failed to pay federal income taxes from January 2017 to October 2020 while also submitting false tax reports. These charges were filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, encompassing three felonies and six misdemeanors related to $1.4 million in unpaid taxes, which have since been settled.

    According to the indictment, Hunter Biden “engaged in a four-year scheme” to evade at least $1.4 million in self-assessed federal taxes for tax years 2016 through 2019. The charges include accusations that he manipulated the payroll and tax withholding process of his company, Owasco, PC, by withdrawing millions outside of the designated system. The special counsel contends that Biden chose an extravagant lifestyle over settling his tax bills, even ceasing payment of overdue taxes for tax year 2015 in 2018.

    Weiss asserts that Hunter Biden “willfully failed to pay his 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019 taxes on time” despite having sufficient funds and also “willfully failed to file his 2017 and 2018 tax returns on time.” In October, Biden pleaded not guilty to federal gun charges brought forth by Weiss.

    In response to the charges, Hunter’s defense attorney, Abbe Lowell, criticized Weiss, accusing the special counsel of succumbing to Republican pressure when addressing the media. Lowell argued that, based on the facts and the law, the charges in Delaware and California would not have been brought if Hunter’s last name were not Biden.  ‘Hunter Biden continues to run, but soon will have nowhere else to hide.     Hunter Biden’s court appearance in California follows a surprise visit to Capitol Hill the day before, where the House Oversight Committee was deliberating on a resolution regarding whether to hold him in contempt of Congress. The House Oversight and Judiciary Committees had issued a subpoena for Hunter Biden to appear for a closed-door deposition on December 13, as part of the House GOP impeachment inquiry against President Biden.

    Although Hunter offered to testify publicly, Republicans rejected the request, citing the scheduling of other witness interviews and asserting that he would not receive special treatment. Oversight Chairman James Comer and Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan, however, committed to releasing a full transcript of his deposition and scheduling a subsequent public hearing. On December 13, instead of appearing for the deposition, Hunter Biden made a statement to the press, defying the subpoena. If the resolution passes, the House will conduct a full vote on whether to hold Hunter Biden in contempt. ‘BREAKING: I know it’s a lot.     Hunter’s mother, of course defends the crack-head, knowing full well that does not deserve any of the millions given to him and her husband by enemies of the United States.  They sold influence, plain and simple.
