Any chance Democrats see to waste U.S. taxpayer money, they take it. And now, they are paying for health care for illegals… of course.
In a move aimed at safeguarding taxpayer funds, Senator Bill Cassidy, a prominent Republican on the Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) committee, is set to introduce the Protect Medicaid Act. This legislation seeks to prevent liberal states from compelling American citizens in other states to subsidize state programs that extend public healthcare benefits to illegal immigrants. Cassidy as we have seen usually does as the Deep State says. He knows very well that Biden will never sign the legislation.
Since none of the immigrants are screened for health status or required to be vaccinated, they deplete our medical resources with the diseases they infect us with in addition to using up our resources to treat their sick- NotDeniseRosney138
The core objective of the bill is to restrict the use of federal funds in administering state Medicaid benefits for noncitizens. If a state chooses to provide Medicaid benefits to undocumented residents, the legislation mandates that the state assumes full financial responsibility, alleviating the burden on taxpayers from other states.
Despite federal law prohibiting illegal immigrants from receiving Medicaid, certain states, including California, have found ways to circumvent this restriction. These states utilize funds from their public healthcare system, Medi-Cal, to extend Medicaid benefits to individuals without legal immigration status. ‘California is already the most expensive place to live in the country. Many families and seniors on fixed incomes can barely afford basic living costs. The State’s plan to give “free” healthcare to illegal immigrants is only going to put more of a burden on the taxpayers.’ Bill Wells said. See fast 30 sec clip below

Free healthcare for illegal immigrants? California is number one in crime and homelessness with a $68 billion deficit!
We're in a crisis. The Democrats are making it worse.

Sen. Cassidy expressed concerns about the potential consequences of such practices, stating, “Medicaid for migrants will be a magnet for more people to come to that state illegally, as well as running up their state debt.” Kari Lake stated ‘I can’t think of a bigger slap in the face to our nation’s veterans than diverting their healthcare & resources to illegal immigrants. But that’s what Joe Biden‘s administration is doing. While our veterans wait in line or rot on the streets, the people BREAKING INTO America get tax-payer-funded benefits. It’s outrageous.’
In 2022, California Gov. Gavin Newsom boasted of a $97.5 BILLION budget surplus. In 2023, the budget morphed into a $38 BILLION billion deficit. Since 2019, California is offering thousands of illegal immigrants free healthcare as deficit soars and population shrinks.
The Protect Medicaid Act includes provisions to involve the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) in scrutinizing states that offer Medicaid services to illegal individuals. The investigation aims to ensure the proper separation of federal and state funds and evaluate whether these states exploit loopholes, such as provider taxes and intergovernmental transfers, to manipulate federal dollars. Additionally, the review assesses if individuals without legal status benefit from covered outpatient drugs and examines whether this impacts prices for American citizens.

In California, nearly 700,000 illegal immigrants aged 26 to 49 became eligible for health care services as of January 1, at an estimated cost of $3.1 billion to taxpayers. For those living in California illegally within this age range, this translates to approximately $4,058 per year in medical coverage subsidies funded by the state’s general fund.
Illegal immigrants are going to quickly overwhelm the US healthcare system.
Americans should blame Democrats for it.

Governor Gavin Newsom recently announced plans to expand health care coverage for additional illegal immigrants, adding to the 1.1 million already in the Medi-Cal system. With over one-third of California’s population enrolled in the Medi-Cal program, which also covers procedures such as sex change surgeries, the state faces a significant financial commitment.
The introduction of the Protect Medicaid Act coincides with a surge in migration at the U.S. southern border. In the span from December 1 to December 31, over 302,000 migrants were documented attempting to cross, marking the highest total for a single month ever recorded. This period also witnessed the first instance of monthly migrant encounters surpassing 300,000.

Senator Cassidy’s legislation addresses the intersection of immigration policy and healthcare funding, aiming to strike a balance that protects both state financial resources and federal healthcare support for American citizens. As the nation grapples with ongoing challenges at the southern border, the Protect Medicaid Act represents a proactive effort to address potential financial burdens resulting from state-funded healthcare for illegal immigrants. California is headed right into a ditch, hurting its citizens to the benefit of illegals crossing ‘secure’ border in ever increasing numbers. The planned bankruptcy of the United States is in full swing as the Democrats continue to promote the open border and now pay for even the health care of illegals, while our own citizens suffer.
