Bryan Steil of Wisconsin, the initiative introduces the Uniform State American Confidence in Elections Act. This legislative package presents a series of recommended measures designed to enhance voter confidence in elections, a critical objective ahead of the upcoming 2024 election cycle.

    Scheduled just before the 2024 Republican Iowa caucuses on January 15, this strategic rollout underscores the GOP’s commitment to addressing election security concerns. Rep. Steil emphasized the toolkit’s role in not only securing elections but also in boosting Americans’ confidence and participation in the electoral process. He stated, “By providing a toolkit of election integrity bills to states, we are going one step further in securing our elections and increasing Americans’ confidence.”

    Chair of the subcommittee on elections, Rep. Laurel Lee of Florida, stressed the need for Americans to feel assured about the security of their elections. She highlighted the compilation of crucial election integrity measures into model state legislation as a proactive step toward achieving this goal.

    The toolkit draws inspiration from successful election integrity measures already implemented in various states. Among the legislative recommendations are the implementation of voter ID requirements, prohibition of ballot harvesting, prevention of noncitizens from voting, and the exclusion of private funding from elections.

    Addressing concerns raised during the 2020 race, the toolkit advocates for states to ban the use of private dollars in elections. This recommendation stems from the controversy surrounding Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, whose affiliated nonprofits distributed grant money to local election offices nationwide.

    While some Democrat-run cities, such as Washington, D.C., and New York City, attempted to pass laws allowing noncitizens to vote in local elections, these efforts faced legal challenges. Despite the potential benefits of the proposed bills, it is anticipated that the new measures may encounter resistance from Democrats, who have historically opposed GOP election security efforts. Accusations have been made that Republicans are attempting to impose barriers to voting.

    Republicans, on the other hand, point to data illustrating increased voter turnout in states like Georgia. Despite implementing their own election security measures, including stricter voter ID requirements for mail-in ballots and restrictions on distributing food and drink at polling locations, Georgia experienced a surge in voter participation between 2020 and 2022.  As far as integrity goes though, Georgia is, in the eyes of MAGA, a Deep State controlled state now. He helped that debacle in 2020 against Trump in more ways than one.

    One fraudulent vote is confirmation of voter fraud. There are hundreds of thousands of fraudulent votes identified in each of the swing states. Far more than enough to alter the outcome. For example, 67,000 voters were recently purged from the Georgia voter roles. The 67,000 illegal voters presumably voted in the 2020 election. Georgia deleted 100% of their digital records, so it is impossible to reconcile. This is intentional malfeasance. The state only swung by less than 12,000 votes, and it didn’t only impact that state, it impacted the entire country. So go ahead and tell me the outcome would not have changed, you show your true ignorance.
