    In a recent interview, Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds reiterated her commitment to supporting former President Donald Trump if he secures the Republican nomination for the 2024 presidential elections. This statement comes despite her previous pledge to back Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, whom she endorsed last November, citing his perceived strong chances of winning the election. Gov. Reynolds, however, clarified on Jan. 15 during an interview appearance that her ultimate loyalty lies with the Republican Party nominee.

    Having expressed her support for various candidates in the past, Gov. Reynolds emphasized her dedication to the Republican cause, stating, “I’m a Republican, and you know, all of the candidates running are going to be better than what we have.” She emphasized the urgency of winning the election, highlighting the challenges the country faces, particularly at the southern border.

    The relationship between former President Trump and Gov. Reynolds has been strained since she deviated from the customary neutrality of Iowa governors in presidential primaries by endorsing Gov. DeSantis. Traditionally, Iowa governors have refrained from endorsing candidates during the state’s closely watched presidential primary. Gov. Reynolds’ decision marked the first time since 1996 that a sitting Iowa governor publicly supported a candidate in a contested Republican presidential primary.

Reynolds cited the critical need to elect a candidate capable of defeating President Joe Biden and effectively addressing the challenges facing the nation. She stressed the importance of choosing someone with the skills and determination to counteract the perceived chaos prevalent in daily affairs.

    Former Gov. Terry Branstad, who served multiple terms between 1983 and 2017, opted not to endorse a presidential candidate during the Iowa caucuses, citing a desire to maintain an inclusive environment for all candidates traversing the state during the campaign.

    Despite the apparent tension between Gov. Reynolds and former President Trump, she remains steadfast in her commitment to support the Republican Party’s chosen nominee. In her view, preventing a second term for President Biden is paramount, and she believes the country needs a change in leadership.

    However, Gov. Reynolds made it clear that until the final nominee is announced, she will continue to support Gov. DeSantis. Expressing her perspective on the direction of the country, she remarked, “I just think, too, when you look at the direction of the country, I mean, I believe it’s going to be Ron.”  Deep State characters will always support Deep State characters first until a final deal is made between the Deep State and Trump.

    As the political landscape unfolds, President Trump maintains a substantial lead in polls, outpacing Gov. DeSantis and Nikki Haley. This strong showing secured him a decisive victory in the Iowa caucus, positioning him favorably in the race. While the Iowa caucuses are among the earliest in the nation, each state will hold subsequent elections to determine the preferred party nominee. The overall winner will be announced at the Republican National Convention (RNC) in July, adding to the anticipation surrounding the upcoming elections. We all know who it will be, so the only remaining question is will President Trump make a deal with the Deep State and be forced to pick an anti-Trump, anti-Maga person such as Haley as VP.  MAGA voters will be extremely disappointed if this comes to pass.
