    Ramaswamy Urges GOP Unity: Calls on DeSantis and Haley to Support Trump in 2024 Race

    In an interview with Fox News on January 16, Ramaswamy expressed his belief that both DeSantis and Haley could serve the nation better by supporting Trump. He highlighted the need to refocus on Trump’s leadership and revive the foundational revolutionary ideals of the country. Ramaswamy stated, “I do think that would be healthy for this country.”

    Having suspended his own campaign after securing just under 8 percent of the vote in Iowa, Ramaswamy declared his “full endorsement” for President Trump, aligning with the former President’s earlier prediction that he would receive Ramaswamy’s support. The 38-year-old biotech entrepreneur stressed the significance of Trump as the GOP nominee, asserting that endorsing him is the right move for the party.

    During the interview with Jesse Watters, Ramaswamy remarked that America is currently experiencing a “1776 moment,” emphasizing the need to elect the right president and prioritize the America First agenda. He argued that this agenda transcends Trump and traces its roots back to 1776, and Donald Trump is the right person to carry it forward for the next four years.

    Despite Ramaswamy’s call, both DeSantis and Haley continue their campaigns in New Hampshire and South Carolina, respectively. Ramaswamy, who entered the 2024 race with limited name recognition in February 2023, spent millions on his campaign and surpassed several prominent Republicans, including former Vice President Mike Pence and Senator Tim Scott.

    Following his exit from the race, Ramaswamy appeared alongside Trump in New Hampshire, receiving praise from the former President. Trump expressed honor in having Ramaswamy’s endorsement and indicated that Ramaswamy would be working with his team for a long time. However, the specific role or position Ramaswamy might undertake in a Trump administration, if elected, remains uncertain.

Trump accused him of using deceitful campaign tricks and labeled him “not MAGA” (Make America Great Again) just before the Iowa Caucuses. Despite this, Ramaswamy continued to champion Trump, referring to the incident as “friendly fire” and emphasizing the 45th president as the “greatest president of the 21st century.”

    In a broader context, Trump’s campaign and the political action committee MAGA Inc. have called on other GOP candidates to withdraw from the race, following Trump’s decisive victory in Iowa. The statement from MAGA contends that Iowa voters sent a clear message, indicating that Trump is likely to be the next Republican nominee for president. The campaign argues that resources should now be directed towards defeating Joe Biden, highlighting the urgency as Biden’s team announces a substantial war chest.

    In response to this call, Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt asserted that DeSantis and Haley are “wasting their time” and “wasting money” by continuing their campaigns in the wake of Trump’s significant Iowa win. The Trump campaign emphasizes the need for unity within the party to effectively challenge Biden in the upcoming election.  What many do not yet understand is both DeSantis and Haley are backed by factions of the Deep State The goal is to force one of them onto the ticket with Trump. So, it looks like a drag out fight then between the two, with Haley actually screwing up after coming in third place in Iowa and yet saying this was a two-person race.  She was actually stating the truth. It is a two-person race for the number two spot.  From there, it is up to Trump. Will he pick one of them for the ticket. It does not seem likely. I’m still pulling for Tucker, since he does not want the job. Kari Lake is high on my list as well. Vivek Ramaswamy, although a start in the Republican contest, is not seen as the best candidate for VP, although from what Trump now says, he will have a role to play in Trump’s second administration.
