Jonathan Turley said ‘Sahara Dula is a criminal justice graduate who wants to specialize in “crisis communication.” If so, she has a bit to learn after intentionally hitting a police officer with her Lexus and then declaring “F— these cops, it’s a lesson to him.” …
Sahara Dula, a 24-year-old graduate in criminal justice from New England College, aspires to specialize in “crisis communication.” However, her recent actions have thrust her into a different kind of crisis, one involving intentional harm to a police officer. The incident, captured on video, took place on Park Avenue near East 71st Street around 4:30 p.m. on a Wednesday.
Sahara Dula was charged with ” attempted ” assault’ . Well , both the video and her words after the incident clearly show ‘intended’ , not ‘ attempted ‘ assault . So, she’s not only let off the hook from attempted murder , but also from intended assault . – Gary Grella
In the video, Dula is seen driving her black Lexus the wrong way when an officer approaches to redirect her. Shockingly, she accelerates and deliberately strikes the officer, later expressing disdain for law enforcement. Subsequent investigations revealed that Dula was under the influence of marijuana at the time of the incident.
Dula’s statement to investigators reflects a disturbing mindset: “I told the cop I wanted to go straight, and he wouldn’t move, so I hit him. I did it on purpose. F— these cops! He wouldn’t move!” The consequences of her actions were severe, leaving the officer with a broken leg and extensive bruising.

Manhattan Assistant District Attorney Lucy Shephard opted not to charge Dula with attempted murder but instead filed charges including first-degree attempted assault, attempted aggravated assault upon a police officer, second-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment, operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs, and reckless driving.
Dula’s past criminal record adds complexity to the case. In March 2022, she faced a criminal mischief arrest for property destruction, though the charges were eventually dropped. Additionally, she has been arrested in New Hampshire at least twice, once in 2020 for a hit-and-run incident in Henniker and another time for simple assault at Concord Hospital.
⛔️It only brings peace and harmony they say, but it actually brings anger and violence.

Reports suggest that Dula has a history of mental illness, possibly bipolar disorder, further complicating the legal proceedings. Striking a balance between considering mental health and holding individuals accountable for their actions poses a challenge for the courts.
Despite her struggles, Dula is known for supporting her mother and family, showcasing a different aspect of her character. The defense may choose to argue that her actions were a result of an uncontrolled episode triggered by medication problems. However, the question remains: How should the court handle such a claim when Dula is not currently institutionalized and is considered able to function in society?

The defense might assert that the incident highlights the need for institutionalization and treatment, arguing that Dula was not in control of her actions during the episode. This complex case brings to the forefront the challenges of navigating the intersection of mental health and criminal responsibility within the justice system.
As the legal proceedings unfold, the case of Sahara Dula prompts a broader reflection on the delicate balance required when addressing individuals with mental health challenges who engage in criminal behavior. The outcome will not only impact Dula’s future but may also contribute to the ongoing discourse surrounding mental health within the criminal justice system.
Make no mistake, if she were white, the book would be thrown at her. But as a Marxist, and with a Soros prosecutor, well… you know the drill. Radical Leftists can do no harm. They can burn down cities, as long as they are against the White Man, and all for tearing down our society .
