    Advancing Supplemental Bill Amidst Border Debates and International Aid Challenges

    In a significant legislative move on February 8, the Senate advanced a $95.3 billion supplemental bill aimed at providing assistance to Israel, Ukraine, and the Indo-Pacific region, while also addressing the fentanyl crisis in the United States. This development followed the previous day’s failure to advance a similar bill that included provisions related to border and immigration.

    The successful vote to move into the debate phase, with a 67–32 margin, surpassed the required 60 votes for a positive outcome. However, the path to final passage remains uncertain, with an anticipated amendment process likely leading to a final vote several weeks away.

    The supplemental bill allocates $60 billion in aid to Ukraine amid its ongoing conflict with Russia and $14.1 billion for Israel in response to its latest tensions with the terrorist group Hamas. Notably, this second attempt follows the blockage of the initial $118 billion supplemental bill, primarily due to opposition from Senate Republicans and some Democrats, including Senator Bernie Sanders.

    The initial bill encompassed the same financial aid for Ukraine and Israel but included additional measures related to border security and immigration. Its defeat was expected as Senate Republicans raised concerns about the border policies, prompting Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell to acknowledge its slim chances of becoming law.

    Later in the day, the Senate took a 58–41 vote to advance an alternative plan, labeled as plan B, focusing on national security. This package includes funding for Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan but excludes any provisions related to the border.

    Senate Republicans who voted against initiating the debate on the border-Ukraine package explained their stance, highlighting objections to a specific provision mandating a border shutdown after surpassing 5,000 daily illegal crossings in a week. Senator Markwayne Mullin pointed out that President Joe Biden already possesses the authority to close the border, while Senator Josh Hawley argued that the measure, endorsed by the Chamber of Commerce, benefits businesses but worsens the border situation.

    The unraveling of the border deal sparked discontent among Republican senators, with Senator Ted Cruz calling for Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s resignation. However, opinions within the Republican ranks varied, with Senator Thom Tillis dismissing the significance of leadership changes and defending McConnell’s performance.

    Former President Donald Trump, a leading figure in the GOP presidential primary, opposed the initial supplemental bill. The border provisions in this bill granted emergency authority to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to shut down the border under specific conditions, including average daily encounters reaching 5,000. This is not a border deal. Let’s just face it.

    The deal also aimed to limit President Biden’s parole authority, which allows for the admission of more illegal immigrants, and raised the legal standards for the initial screening of asylum claims. Additionally, it proposed expediting the asylum processing time from several years to six months. Notably, the package did not include a restoration of President Trump’s Remain in Mexico policy, which some Republicans consider crucial.  We all know the scam Biden and crew have played now for years. Every dollar and even soldiers sent to the border, are all used to increase the number of illegals, not stop them from coming in.  As more and more Americans see through the Democrat scam, Biden and all Democrats decline in the polls and face disaster come November.

    As the Senate navigates through these legislative challenges, the focus remains on addressing international crises, particularly in Ukraine and the Indo-Pacific, while managing domestic concerns such as the fentanyl crisis. The intricacies of the amendment process and the ultimate fate of the supplemental bill will unfold in the coming weeks.  We know the end result before it happens. The scammers of the Deep State will force something through that further destroys the United States. Democrats and Republican RINOS as we call all who help the Democrats, are intent on bankrupting this nation.  Biden and crew continue to waste $2200 per month per migrant, and the bill this year alone Congress estimates at over 451 billion, just for illegals. This is not including crime, education, and other costs.  Now that the American people are paying attention more and more, look to the traitors to keep announcing they are leaving Congress, as they know getting re-elected has become a bit difficult for them. Let’s keep the pressure up and get rid of all who help Biden and the Democrats in bankrupting this nation and leaving our border open. They are openly aiding rapists, child slavery, and the wholesale murder of American citizens.
