And of course Trump pointed it out… TRUMP: “Putin came out and he said ‘I’d much rather have Biden be president’… That’s a war that never would’ve happened if I was president.”

Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed a preference for President Joe Biden in the upcoming 2024 presidential election, citing Biden’s experience and predictability. In an interview with the state-owned television channel Russia-1, Putin emphasized the importance of working with any U.S. leader chosen by the American people.
Common sense. If Trump was President of the US, Putin would have to retreat from Ukraine immediately. Putin and Russia have advanced and achieved more under Biden than any other US President in the 21st Century- Brigitte Gabriel
President Donald Trump, during a campaign rally in South Carolina, acknowledged Putin’s endorsement and interpreted it as a compliment. Trump highlighted his administration’s opposition to the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, a major German-Russian project, and criticized Biden for approving it upon taking office.
The Trump administration had concerns about Nord Stream 2, fearing it would increase Europe’s dependence on Russian energy. Trump’s decision to halt its construction was a significant move during his presidency.

Despite Putin’s endorsement, recent polls indicate that Trump is leading Biden among likely U.S. voters. According to a February 12 update by Morning Consult, Trump holds a 1 percentage point lead, with 43 percent of likely voters supporting him compared to Biden’s 42 percent. Additionally, Trump is favored among independents, leading by 6 percentage points.
The report suggests a shift in public opinion, noting that Trump has gained ground since the summer, especially as the Republican presidential primary intensified. While Biden led Trump in most of 2023, the momentum has shifted in favor of the former president.
Former Pres. Trump reacted to Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin saying he prefers Pres. Biden over Trump because Biden is “more experienced” and “more predictable,” calling it a “great compliment.”

The interview with Putin also touched on controversies surrounding Biden’s mental health. Putin, recalling a meeting with Biden in Switzerland several years ago, dismissed claims of incapacitation. He mentioned that he, too, glanced at his notes during the meeting and refrained from commenting on Biden’s health, asserting he is not a doctor.
Concerns about Biden’s mental fitness were highlighted in a February 8 report by Special Counsel Robert Hur. The report described the 81-year-old president as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.” Biden’s memory was characterized as “hazy,” “faulty,” and “significantly limited,” with instances of struggling to recall key events.

The White House criticized the report as “politically motivated” and “gratuitous,” emphasizing Biden’s attorney’s statement that the president does not have memory problems. However, former President Trump had previously questioned Biden’s mental faculties in late December, expressing doubts about his ability to be the Democratic nominee.
In November, Rep. Ronny Jackson, a former White House physician, asserted that Biden’s cognitive decline was happening quickly, expressing concerns about his ability to handle the demanding role of commander-in-chief.
Uh oh…
This is a MAJOR endorsement for Biden!

A February 12 poll by Left Wing Morning Consult revealed that more voters are confident in Trump’s mental fitness compared to Biden’s. Only 38 percent agreed that Biden is “mentally fit” for the job, while 49 percent deemed Trump to be mentally fit. Among independents, Trump was perceived as being in better mental shape than Biden.
As the 2024 election approaches, these dynamics and concerns about leadership and mental fitness may play a crucial role in shaping public opinion and influencing voter decisions. If the election in November is held without any of the games played in 2020, President Trump is set for a landslide, the likes of which we have not seen since Reagan.
