China makes all the rules: Illegals are making headway all over the nation… in all Democrat controlled areas.
‘An Illegal is appointed in San Francisco‘s Election Commission to create policies and supervise legal residents on election matters. How screwed up our system is. Not even a third world Banana Republic would be stupid enough to do this.’ – J Josef
As an Explosion of Illegal “Chinese and Middle Eastern Migrants” Crossings Across the U.S. Southern Border… San Francisco names Kelly Wong, an immigrant rights advocate, as the first non-citizen to serve on the election commission. Wong, a Hong Kong native, arrived in the United States in 2019 for graduate studies and was sworn in during a ceremony at San Francisco City Hall on Wednesday.

Board of Supervisors president Aaron Peskin administered the oath of office, highlighting Wong’s dedication to enfranchising underrepresented communities and her commitment to educating people about the voting process. Wong’s appointment received unanimous support from the board, and she expressed her gratitude on LinkedIn, emphasizing the importance of representation for immigrants and marginalized communities in shaping the city’s future.
This groundbreaking appointment became possible through a 2020 vote in which San Francisco voters approved a proposal to eliminate the requirement for candidates seeking office to hold U.S. citizenship. This decision opened the door for non-citizens like Wong to contribute to city boards, commissions, and advisory bodies.

Wong, who witnessed mass pro-democracy protests in Hong Kong, expressed her desire to enhance immigrant and non-English voter engagement in San Francisco. With the city employing a ranked-choice voting system, one of her key priorities is improving translations of voter materials to overcome language and cultural barriers that hinder immigrants with limited English proficiency from exercising their right to vote fully.
Joining six other members of the civilian-led commission, Wong will oversee policy and operations for the city’s Department of Elections. Despite the role being unpaid, she remains committed to her work with the progressive advocacy group Chinese for Affirmative Action, founded in 1969, which focuses on safeguarding the civil and political rights of Chinese Americans and advancing multiracial democracy in the United States.

Wong’s dedication to progressive causes dates back to 2016 when Chinese for Affirmative Action supported efforts to liberalize voting access. The organization successfully lobbied for a change in the law, allowing non-citizens to vote in school board elections if their child attends a school in the district. Wong, who has been with the group since 2022, plans to continue this work while serving on the Elections Commission.
Expressing gratitude for the change in the law, Wong credited Sarah Souza, the City of San Francisco’s Immigrant Rights Commissioner, for her successful 2020 campaign to allow non-citizens to serve on local commissions and advisory boards. Souza, who arrived in the United States as an undocumented immigrant child, became the first of her kind in California appointed to the San Francisco Democratic County Central Committee.
A non-citizen with ZERO affiliation to our country will now decide what happens in OUR elections in San Francisco.

In her post, Wong acknowledged Souza’s advocacy and perseverance, emphasizing the transformative impact of such policy changes. She encouraged fellow immigrants in San Francisco, stating, “If I can do it, you can too,” and expressed hope that her appointment serves as a beacon of hope, demonstrating that change is possible, and immigrant voices matter in policymaking.
Vincent Pan, co-executive director of Chinese for Affirmative Action, echoed these sentiments, expressing a desire for a future where the involvement of immigrants and noncitizens in city governance becomes commonplace. Wong’s appointment, he emphasized, is a step towards a day when such diversity and inclusion are no longer considered newsworthy in a city with a large percentage of immigrant communities. As if this is logical in any way to the citizens of this nation.
