    In a significant operation, Tacoma, Washington, law enforcement authorities confiscated around 87,000 fentanyl pills, 83 pounds of methamphetamine, and heroin from an alleged drug trafficker associated with a Mexican cartel. The operation unfolded as part of an ongoing investigation into narcotics distribution along the Pacific Avenue Corridor, revealing connections between the suspect and cartel members near the United States Southern Border.

    According to a statement from Tacoma Police Department Public Information Officer William Muse, the suspect had affiliations with the cartel, operating near the U.S. Southern Border. The individual allegedly transported substantial quantities of narcotics from the border region to Tacoma, facilitating their distribution along the Pacific Avenue Corridor.

    Police emphasized that the arrested suspect specialized in distributing fentanyl, methamphetamine, and heroin along the Pacific Avenue corridor. Investigators uncovered the individual’s ties to cartel members operating near the U.S. Southern Border, establishing a pattern of transporting significant drug shipments to the Tacoma area.

    The seized drugs, estimated to be worth $550,000, represent a substantial blow to the illegal drug trade. In addition to the narcotics, law enforcement officers seized a handgun loaded with armor-piercing rounds during the arrest. These rounds, described as “cop-killer bullets,” posed a serious threat. The suspect was also wearing body armor at the time of the arrest, which was confiscated by the authorities.

    Further investigations at the suspect’s residence resulted in the seizure of four additional firearms, two of which were reported as stolen. Among the confiscated weapons were two .556 caliber rifles modified into a “pistol” configuration, as disclosed in the official statement. Additionally, more armor-piercing ammunition was discovered during the search of the suspect’s home.

    William Muse, in concluding remarks, emphasized the significance of the operation in addressing the opioid and fentanyl crisis while simultaneously mitigating the violence associated with narcotics trafficking.
