Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude and optimism during an interview on CNN’s “The Source” on Monday, emphasizing the bipartisan support he received from the U.S. Congress, particularly from House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA). The conversation touched upon the hope Zelensky harbors for increased aid to Ukraine, despite some members’ opposition to such assistance.

    In response to anchor Kaitlan Collins’ inquiry about his optimism regarding U.S. Congress delivering more aid, Zelensky acknowledged the collective support from both sides of the political spectrum. He stated, “I am really thankful for the president and the bipartisan support.” Zelensky’s appreciation extended to the collaborative efforts of lawmakers in the United States, emphasizing the significance of unity in supporting Ukraine.

    Collins delved further into the dynamics within the U.S. Congress, highlighting the pivotal role of House Speaker Mike Johnson, who had previously not voted in favor of aid to Ukraine. She asked Zelensky directly about his meeting with Speaker Johnson and what message he had conveyed to the Republican leader.

    Zelensky responded by confirming his meeting with Speaker Johnson and shared the positive sentiment emanating from their conversation. He conveyed Johnson’s commitment to supporting Ukraine, stating, “So when we spoke to each other, he said that he will do everything to support Ukraine, and he’s on our side, and he understands how heroic our people, our soldiers, and civilians are, and he said that. So his faith is with us, and he said prayers with us.”

    Despite Johnson’s historical voting record, Zelensky remained hopeful and focused on the assurances he had received from the Republican House Speaker. Zelensky also acknowledged the challenges ahead and expressed confidence in Johnson’s understanding of the complexities involved.  Now that Mitch is bowing out of leadership in the House, perhaps others should follow. McConnell isn’t the only one who needs to step down as everyone in leadership who voted for Ukraine Aid without border security – Thune, Cornyn, et al. – needs to step down as well It’s time to have actual conservatives lead the GOP caucus in the Senate. I know this is a tall order, but we can hope that with the elections in November, many more MAGA Senators will be stepping into power. Combine that with Trump in the White House, and America truly can enter a new golden age. 

    Back to the interview… Collins probed further, underscoring the potential impact of Johnson’s decisions on aid to Ukraine. She highlighted the Speaker’s previous voting patterns and questioned Zelensky about his message specifically directed towards Johnson.

    Zelensky reiterated his faith in Johnson’s commitment, stating, “I gave my message. I think that Johnson heard it and Biden also heard it. So that’s it. What can I do? I can’t push the Speaker. This is his decision, but I think he understands all the challenges we have.”

    The Ukrainian President maintained a diplomatic tone, emphasizing the importance of dialogue and understanding between nations. While acknowledging that he cannot compel Speaker Johnson to act in a specific manner, Zelensky underscored the significance of conveying the challenges faced by Ukraine to U.S. leaders.  At least he didn’t keep sniffing, showing the world his cocaine problem, as he has shown countless other times. His Deep State handlers must have scolded him on taking a shot or some meds before interviews from now on. They know the man and his drug use are not factors that encourage Americans to be further ripped off to support.

    To sum it all up: President Zelensky’s interview shed light on the optimistic outlook he maintains concerning bipartisan support for Ukraine within the U.S. Congress. Despite reservations from some members, Zelensky expressed gratitude for the collective support and conveyed a positive interaction with Speaker Mike Johnson, emphasizing the latter’s commitment to assisting Ukraine. The conversation highlighted the complexities involved in securing aid and showcased Zelensky’s diplomatic approach in conveying the challenges faced by his nation to U.S. leaders.

    I think I can accurately predict the future in the next few weeks. Deep State Johnson will hold a behind closed doors meeting in the House, and the threats and bribes will be put to use.  Then, he comes out and announces how wonderful it is how he reached a deal that helps with the border,  and helps Ukraine.  It will be a total lie as everything the man has done thus far, but he lies for the camera on cue, as most in the Deep State now.
