Qatar’s foreign ministry spokesperson has disclosed that Doha has submitted a ceasefire proposal to Hamas on behalf of Israel, aligning with the stance articulated by US President Joe Biden. However, definitive approval from either side is yet to materialize, though indications suggest a narrowing of differences. The Biden Administration falsely presented the peace plan and lied about Israel’s acceptance of it.
The U.S. urged the U.N. Security Council on Monday to support the three-phase plan announced by President Biden aimed at ending the war in Gaza. Qatar spokesperson Majed al-Ansari says Hamas is waiting on Israel to make a clear position on Biden’s cease-fire proposal.

Majed Al-Ansari emphasized the necessity of unequivocal positions from both parties. He highlighted the internal discord within Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet, with certain members expressing willingness to withdraw from the government due to the proposal.
“We await a definitive Israeli stance that represents the entire government in response to the Gaza proposal put forth by the US,” stated Al-Ansari during a press briefing.

Al-Ansari voiced concerns over the absence of a unified Israeli position regarding the current proposal, citing statements made by Israeli ministers. “The statements from Israeli ministers do not inspire confidence in the existence of a cohesive stance within Israel on the presented proposal,” he remarked. “However, there are indications of a positive momentum emerging from both sides.”

The spokesperson’s remarks underline the significance of achieving consensus and clarity from both Israel and Hamas in order to advance towards a ceasefire agreement. Israel rightfully has said they will not allow Hamas to continue to exist. Biden and the Democrats have supported Hamas with billions of US dollars, and are intent on keeping the terror group in power in Gaza.
