The media tries to spin it all, but the facts are Trump is advancing with Black voters and is now ahead with Hispanic voters. President Biden finds himself in a near-impossible position come November, which leads many to think that he will be replaced soon after his debate with Trump.
CNN’s senior data reporter, Harry Enten, was astounded by his latest findings, which indicate that former President Donald Trump is making unprecedented strides with Black voters for a modern Republican presidential candidate. Enten noted that dissatisfaction among Black voters with President Joe Biden is evident, particularly in key swing states such as Georgia and Michigan, which could significantly influence the 2024 presidential race.
Enten highlighted that since the 2020 election, Biden’s support among Black voters has declined from 81% to 70%, while Trump’s support has surged from 7% to 21%. This represents a dramatic shift, with Trump making notable inroads among this critical voting bloc. “I keep looking for this to change, to go back to a historical norm, and it simply put, has not yet,” Enten remarked, emphasizing the historical significance of these numbers for a Republican candidate.

Exploring the demographics of Black voters supporting Trump, Enten found age to be a key predictor. Biden maintains a strong lead among Black voters aged 50 and older, with a 74-point margin. However, his lead among younger Black voters has diminished to +37, a significant drop from +80 four years ago. Enten expressed his amazement at this shift, particularly among younger Black voters, stating, “I’ve just never seen anything like this. I’m, like, speechless.”
These findings align with earlier polls showing Trump’s growing support among Black voters. This trend is also visible at the grassroots level, with Trump receiving enthusiastic support from Black voters in Georgia during his recent appearance in Fulton County. Additionally, Trump’s rally in the Bronx, an area traditionally dominated by Democrats, drew a diverse crowd sympathetic to his cause. Trump also engaged with Black pastors in Detroit, receiving appreciation for his outreach efforts.

Democrats have been actively trying to understand this shift. Former NBA star Charles Barkley made a controversial remark about confronting Black individuals supporting Trump, while Sunny Hostin of “The View” criticized a young Black conservative who noted a growing conservative trend among his peers.
The increasing support for Trump among Black voters signals a potential realignment in American politics, with implications for both parties. As Trump continues to gain ground, the Democratic Party may need to reassess its strategies to address the concerns and preferences of Black voters. This development underscores the dynamic nature of voter behavior and the importance of understanding and addressing the evolving priorities of different demographic groups.
