Billy Ray Cyrus is currently entangled in a contentious divorce with his estranged wife, Firerose. In a recent amendment to his May divorce filing, dated June 17, Cyrus claimed that Firerose tried to prevent him from having contact with one of his daughters. While Cyrus did not specify which daughter he was referring to, he shares Miley, 31, and Noah, 24, with his ex-wife Tish Cyrus and is the adoptive father of Tish’s eldest daughter, Brandi, 37.
The change read as follows: “In addition, the plaintiff learned that the accused party had been waging a campaign to keep the plaintiff away from his family ever since he filed his first complaint. He has learned that the Defendant prevented at least one (1) of his daughters from contacting him via his phone or other electronic device without the Plaintiff’s knowledge.”

Cyrus initially filed for annulment of his marriage to Firerose on May 23, citing “inappropriate marital conduct.” Firerose, whose real name is Johanna Rose Hodges, countered with accusations of domestic abuse in her own divorce filing on June 14. The wife suffered severe verbal, emotional, and psychological abuse, according to her counsel. Because of his ongoing drug usage and marijuana use, which made him erratic and aggressive toward Wife, the couple had to deal with this.
Cyrus’ attorneys, Rose Palermo and Jason Talley of Cheatham Palermo and Garrett, found Firerose’s allegations puzzling.,.Just two days after he filed his motions to dissolve his marriage, Cyrus promised to forgive her and give her back. It is incomprehensible to try to understand why Ms. Hodges would wish to move back in with Mr. Cyrus if he was actually guilty of the charges that she makes in her pleadings. She was also begging him to give her an opportunity to clarify everything with him.

To support their claims, Cyrus’ lawyers provided a handwritten note allegedly from Firerose to Cyrus, asking him to “work this out” with her, along with a text message where Firerose reportedly expressed, “I don’t want to live without you. Please give me a chance to make this right.”
