I really don’t like seeing how people go from the top of a mountain, and crash to the ground due to health reasons, and other factors. Life creeps up on us all.
Shannen Doherty has made strong accusations against her estranged husband, Kurt Iswarienko, in a recent legal filing. The actress, who is battling stage 4 breast cancer, claims that Iswarienko is deliberately delaying their divorce proceedings in the hope that she will die before he has to pay her spousal support.
Doherty, 54, expressed her frustration in the filing, criticizing Iswarienko for his continued extravagant spending while she struggles with reduced income due to her medical expenses and inability to work. She noted that her earnings have decreased significantly because of her cancer treatments and the lack of residuals from her former show “Charmed.” Furthermore, she mentioned that she is no longer eligible for health insurance from the Screen Actors Guild due to not working.

“Our assets are neither difficult to characterize nor divide,” Doherty wrote. “Our divorce should not be complicated. It is abundantly clear to me that Kurt is intentionally delaying settlement in hopes that I will not survive the divorce proceedings.” She is requesting $15,343 monthly in spousal support from Iswarienko, whose average annual earnings for the last three years of their marriage were $672,916, compared to her $259,708.
Doherty also pointed out that despite his higher income, Iswarienko has not made any temporary spousal support payments or contributions to her legal and accounting fees since their divorce action was filed. The couple married in 2011, and Doherty filed for divorce in April 2023.

On her podcast, “Let’s Be Clear with Shannen Doherty,” the actress revealed that she underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor in January 2023 after discovering that her husband had been unfaithful for two years. She shared the emotional turmoil she experienced, saying, “I went into that surgery early in the morning and I went in after I found out that my marriage was essentially over, that my husband had been carrying on an affair for two years. To not go into that surgery, even though he wanted to go, I couldn’t go into that surgery with him there. I felt so betrayed.”
