Was it a real coup or yet another press event orchestrated by Zelensky?
Ukrainian authorities announced on Monday that they had successfully disrupted an attempted coup, arresting several individuals involved in an alleged plot to incite riots in Kyiv. The arrests were made by Ukraine’s internal security service, the SBU, which stated that the group aimed to overthrow the government of President Volodymyr Zelensky.

The SBU revealed that the group of activists had planned to initiate disturbances over the weekend, coinciding with the anniversary of Ukraine’s constitution. The plot was said to involve staging a peaceful protest that would escalate into an assault on the Ukrainian Parliament building, with the ultimate goal of seizing control. The security service did not disclose the names of those detained, nor did it confirm any direct connections to Russia. However, it noted that the primary conspirator is associated with a nonprofit organization known for its anti-Ukrainian stance. Other NGOs in Ukraine were also allegedly implicated in the scheme.
The SBU’s press release detailed the group’s intentions, stating, “The organizers planned to disseminate the information about the ‘unrest’ in Kyiv through domestic and foreign information resources. In this way, they hoped to undermine the socio-political situation inside Ukraine, which would have played in Russia’s hands.” The suspects were apprehended before their plan could be executed and now face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.

During the ongoing conflict with Russia, the SBU remains vigilant in identifying and preventing internal threats that could destabilize Ukraine’s government and military operations. This latest incident underscores the challenges Ukraine faces not only from external military aggression but also from potential internal subversion.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces are actively engaged in defending against Russian advances in multiple regions. Fierce fighting continues in the northeastern Kharkiv region, where Ukrainian troops are striving to repel Russian forces. Simultaneously, intense battles are ongoing in the eastern Donetsk region, highlighting the relentless nature of the conflict.
The thwarted coup attempt serves as a reminder of the multifaceted nature of the threats facing Ukraine. As the country commemorated the anniversary of its constitution, the quick action by the SBU to prevent a major disruption highlights the precarious balance Ukraine must maintain amid its struggle for sovereignty and stability.

I wonder if they also consider a coup attempt to want a vote? As Zelensky has banned elections and his term of office is long past. He is now the dictator of Ukraine, backed by the west. I guess religions are also a coup attempt, as they have banned even church meetings. What are we throwing our money into?
