The majority of Americans are now against sending more money to Ukraine. But the powers that be want it and have used all tricks possible to bilk the American taxpayers out of more and more money that we do not have. It is as if they are purposely moving to bankrupt the United States and collapse the dollar.
The United States will host a NATO summit in Washington next week, focusing on increasing military support for Ukraine amid Russia’s ongoing invasion. According to Douglas Jones, the U.S. deputy assistant secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs, NATO plans to present “concrete ways” to expedite Ukraine’s eventual membership in the alliance.

Retired U.S. Air Force General Philip Breedlove, who previously served as the commander of U.S. European Command and the 17th Supreme Allied Commander Europe of NATO Allied Command Operations, emphasized the importance of the summit in supporting Ukraine. He believes NATO should outline specific measures to help Ukraine defeat Russian forces and reclaim its occupied territories. Breedlove warns that allowing Russia to retain any Ukrainian territory would be tantamount to capitulation.
One of the main challenges for NATO at the summit will be determining the path forward for Ukraine’s potential membership. Something that the West promised Russia would never happen and is partially why the Russians invaded, bolstered by a bribed and foolish president. While some NATO nations are eager to start Ukraine’s integration process, others are not yet ready. A proposed compromise involves inviting Ukraine to establish a presence at NATO headquarters, possibly at a U.S. base in Wiesbaden, Germany. Even without a formal membership offer, NATO members must discuss ways to guarantee Ukraine’s security.
The upcoming summit also coincides with elections in Europe and the U.S., which could influence NATO’s direction. Breedlove noted the rise of nationalism and isolationism in various countries, stressing that NATO’s strength lies in its solidarity. Despite challenges, he remains optimistic that NATO will emerge stronger, united by a shared understanding of the threat posed by Russia’s aggression in Ukraine.

Recent reports suggest that some Trump-aligned national security experts are considering a deal in which NATO would commit to no further eastward expansion, particularly into Ukraine and Georgia, in exchange for a cease-fire with Russia. Breedlove argues that such a move would be a capitulation to Russia’s demands. He believes any negotiations must not concede to Russia’s territorial ambitions and should instead focus on supporting Ukraine’s sovereignty. Even though these were the terms long ago, before NATO’s borders moved 1,000 miles East and the West basically telling Russia to go to hell with the deal made.
Georgia’s prospects for joining NATO are also influenced by internal political issues and Russian interference. Breedlove highlighted Russia’s attempts to destabilize Georgia through various means, including financial and political influence. He asserts that these actions are part of Russia’s broader strategy to pull Georgia away from Western alliances.
Although Ukraine is not expected to receive a formal NATO membership offer at the summit, there are steps that can be taken to strengthen ties between Ukraine and NATO. Breedlove argues that NATO’s support should be more explicit and robust, aiming to help Ukraine achieve a decisive victory over Russian forces and restore its territorial integrity. He calls for a clear and demonstrative policy from NATO, outlining specific goals and commitments to aid Ukraine in its fight against Russia.
NATO countries are set to donate another massive package of long-range air defense systems to Ukraine at next week’s NATO summit in Washington.
