The Marxist takeover over most of Asia is near completion. The Nepali Marxist is backed by Red China.
In a significant political development, Khadga Prasad Oli, the leader of Nepal’s largest communist party, has been appointed as the new prime minister of the Himalayan nation. This appointment follows the recent collapse of the previous coalition government, leading to a swift reconfiguration of political alliances.

A statement issued by the president’s office confirmed that Oli is set to take his oath of office on Monday. This marks Oli’s fourth term as prime minister, a testament to his enduring influence in Nepali politics. He will be at the helm of a coalition government formed by his Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist Leninist) and the Nepali Congress party. These two parties are the largest in the country, commanding significant influence and representation in the parliament.
The collapse of the last government, led by Pushpa Kamal Dahal, occurred on Friday. The crisis was triggered when Oli’s party, which was a key member of the coalition, withdrew its support. This move paved the way for the formation of a new partnership, with Oli emerging as the leader. Despite the turbulent political landscape, Oli will need to secure a vote of confidence in parliament within a month to solidify his position. Given that the new alliance holds a majority in the parliament, this task is expected to be relatively straightforward.

One of Oli’s most pressing challenges as prime minister will be to navigate Nepal’s intricate relationships with its two giant neighbors, India and China. Both countries are vying for influence over Nepal, a strategically located nation. Nepal is landlocked and bordered by India on three sides, making it heavily reliant on India for oil and most essential supplies. At the same time, Nepal shares a northern border with China, which is keen to expand its footprint in the region.
Oli’s political journey has been marked by resilience and determination. Born 72 years ago in a village in eastern Nepal, he has been involved in politics since his youth. His rise through the ranks of the communist party was not without challenges. Oli spent a total of 14 years in jail for his opposition to the autocratic rule of Nepal’s monarchs. The royal family had banned political parties until 1990, when widespread street protests forced then-King Birendra to hold free elections. These elections transformed Nepal into a constitutional monarchy, a status that was formally abolished in 2008, paving the way for a federal democratic republic.
Despite his political achievements, Oli’s health has been a recurring concern. He has made numerous trips abroad for the treatment of his kidneys and has undergone kidney transplant surgeries. His health issues have not deterred him from actively participating in the nation’s politics, demonstrating his commitment and resilience.

As Oli prepares to take office once again, the people of Nepal will be watching closely to see how he addresses the nation’s internal challenges and balances its foreign relations. His experience and political acumen will be crucial in navigating the complexities of Nepal’s political landscape and ensuring stability and progress for the country. His loyalty to Beijing will be of particular note as he moves to support their positions on taking land from India when they next conflict arises. China holds all of the cards once again.
