She has come out and admitted she was drunk. America is not amused by such a lack of patriotism.
Country singer Ingrid Andress performed the National Anthem at the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday night, but her rendition did not go as planned. The four-time Grammy nominee struggled to hit several high notes and took some artistic liberties with the song, which did not sit well with the audience. Shortly after her performance, social media lit up with criticisms and jokes about her rendition. As she finished, Andress was seen adjusting her in-ear monitors, suggesting she might have had trouble hearing herself.

The performance was quickly labeled “one of the worst” renditions of the National Anthem by many online commentators. Some even claimed, “My ears are bleeding,” while Sports Illustrated writer Alex Carr tweeted, “I’m so sorry, I’m sure Ingrid Andress is a wonderful person, However, I don’t think I’ve ever heard a worse national anthem in my whole life.
Even the Bartlett Police Department in Illinois joined in the mockery, posting on their social media that anyone caught speeding or not wearing a seatbelt would be forced to listen to Andress’s performance again. Comparisons were made to Fergie’s much-criticized rendition of the anthem at the 2020 NBA All-Star game, with some suggesting Andress’s performance was even worse.
