As it happens in war, civilians always suffer. Especially if terrorists use schools and hospitals for their bases. Such is the situation in Gaza, where Hamas cares little for their own people, and use them as shields in the hopes that Israel will allow them to keep attacking them from these very schools and hospitals.
The Gaza Strip descended further into turmoil as Israel’s military launched a new wave of airstrikes, targeting United Nations-run schools and designated “safe-zones.” Tuesday’s assaults resulted in the deaths of at least 42 Palestinians and left dozens more wounded, according to local officials – aka Hamas officials.

One of the most tragic strikes hit the UN’s al-Razi school in the Nuseirat refugee camp. This school had been a refuge for thousands of displaced Palestinians. The attack occurred during rush hour, a time when the streets were filled with people, adding to the devastation. The bombing of al-Razi resulted in 25 fatalities, turning the schoolyard into a scene of horror. Meanwhile, a bustling market in the southern region of al-Mawasi was also targeted, leading to 17 deaths and more than 70 injuries. Since this info comes form the terrorists, it is probably 99% incorrect, Just an FYI… Never trust them in anything they say.
The violence, they say, extended to Beit Lahiya in northern Gaza, where another airstrike claimed five more lives. The al-Razi school bombing marked the sixth attack on UN-affiliated schools in the last ten days, underscoring the escalating crisis.
The human toll of this conflict continues to rise. Among the deceased was Mohammad Meshmesh, a local journalist, bringing the number of journalists killed in the conflict to 160. Disturbing video footage showed the aftermath, with remnants of rockets and widespread destruction.

Hospitals, especially Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in Deir el-Balah, were overwhelmed with the influx of injured individuals. Medical staff struggled to cope, battling to save lives amid the chaos. The timing of the al-Razi attack, during a peak period, only added to the catastrophe.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) reported that nearly 70 percent of its schools in Gaza had been hit since the conflict began. Most of these schools served as shelters, and tragically, 539 people seeking refuge in UNRWA facilities have been killed. The agency condemned the attacks, highlighting the blatant disregard for humanitarian law and calling for an immediate end to the violence.
Hamas vehemently condemned the bombings, describing them as deliberate acts of violence against displaced civilians. They accused Israel, along with its ally, the United States, of being complicit in what they termed a “genocide” in Gaza.
Despite some scaled-back ground operations, the airstrikes continue. This latest surge of violence followed one of the deadliest weeks in Gaza since the conflict began, with at least 470 people killed between July 9 and July 15. This includes 90 individuals killed in a previous attack on al-Mawasi, which Israel justified as an operation targeting senior Hamas commanders, including Mohammed Deif, though his fate remains uncertain.

The bombardments persist as Israel and Hamas weigh the latest ceasefire proposal. Hamas has expressed willingness to continue negotiations, even amid the ongoing airstrikes. Israel remains resolute in its pursuit of Hamas fighters, targeting those believed to be hiding among civilians and within underground tunnel networks.
Since the conflict erupted on October 7, the human cost has been catastrophic. Over 38,700 Palestinians have lost their lives, and nearly 90,000 have been injured. On the Israeli side, approximately 1,139 people have been killed due to Hamas-led attacks, with dozens still held captive in Gaza. As the violence drags on, hopes for peace seem distant, overshadowed by the relentless cycle of retaliation and suffering. And these numbers are entirely made up by Hamas. SO keep this in mind going forward.
