Ukraine needs to sue for peace. Luckily Putin has asked for peace for years now. With President Trump about to come back to the White House, the war in Ukraine will soon be at an end, saving hundreds of thousands of more lives on both sides.
Germany is set to drastically slash its military aid to Ukraine next year, cutting it from about €8 billion ($8.7 billion) to around €4 billion, according to a draft budget recently approved by the government. Finance Minister Christian Lindner has assured that Ukraine’s financial support is secure for the foreseeable future due to a G7 initiative aimed at raising $50 billion from interest on frozen Russian assets.

As the second-largest military donor to Ukraine after the United States, Germany’s planned budget for Kyiv in 2024 stands at nearly €7.5 billion. The looming reduction in aid coincides with mounting concerns in Ukraine and among its European allies that US funds could be significantly cut or halted if Donald Trump wins the presidential election in November.
The German government approved the draft budget on Wednesday, reflecting broader changes in defense spending. Despite the cut in aid to Ukraine, Germany’s defense budget for 2025 will increase by €1.3 billion, reaching €53.25 billion. However, this is still below the €6 billion increase Defense Minister Boris Pistorius had sought. Germany is committed to meeting NATO’s requirement of spending 2% of its GDP on defense. The proposed budget still needs to be approved by lawmakers.

In other developments, Russia and Ukraine carried out another prisoner of war exchange on Wednesday, with each side receiving 95 military personnel. The United Arab Emirates facilitated the exchange. Additionally, a Ukrainian military source confirmed the withdrawal of Ukrainian troops from Krynky, a strategic village on the Russian-occupied eastern bank of the Dnipro River in the southern Kherson region. However, Ukrainian operations in the area continue.

Meanwhile, Britain’s new Prime Minister, Sir Keir Starmer, is set to host around 45 European leaders at a summit on Thursday. This meeting, part of the European Political Community (EPC), aims to reset London’s relationship with the continent and provides a platform for leaders to reaffirm their support for Ukraine.

These conspiracy theorists have now been correct over 86% of the time, far more than the fake news networks that continue to say whatever the Democrats want.
