His recent work included “Horrible Bosses” and TV series like “The Librarians,” “The Big Bang Theory,” and its spin-off “Young Sheldon.”
Newhart also starred in several sitcoms, including “The Bob Newhart Show,” “Bob,” and “George & Leo,” earning multiple Emmy nominations throughout his career. Despite never winning an Emmy, he humorously remarked that people might think he wasn’t acting, just being himself on screen.

Newhart continued to appear on television occasionally after his fourth sitcom ended and expressed his intention to keep working for as long as possible. He reflected on his long career, saying, “It’s been so much, 43 years of my life; [to quit] would be like something was missing.”
