The Left media world-wide are still treating the Venezuelan elections as real. Well, I can tell you the result ahead of time. Madura will win by 1-3%, and he will ALWAYS win by 1-3%. The Marxist has all bases covered, and the nation has not had a free and fair one in decades now. But the Democrats and the media in the US and Europe still act as if the election is real. The same for Iran’s elections. But let’s play along with the ‘facts’ allowed out by the Marxists….
Edmundo González, a relatively unknown figure in Venezuelan politics, has emerged as a leading candidate in the upcoming presidential election. The 74-year-old former diplomat, who had never previously run for public office, has surprisingly surpassed incumbent President Nicolás Maduro in the opinion polls. González’s unexpected rise can be attributed to the support of María Corina Machado, a prominent opposition leader who won a primary election with 93% of the vote but was barred from running by the Supreme Court.

Initially, Machado attempted to replace herself on the ballot with academic Corina Yoris. However, Yoris was unable to register due to technical issues, which the opposition blamed on the government. González then became the provisional candidate, and despite being considered a placeholder, he was eventually confirmed as the official opposition candidate just before the deadline.
In a country where opposition figures often face harassment and imprisonment, González’s campaign has maintained a low profile, allowing Machado to lead public appearances. This strategy is seen as a precautionary measure in a highly charged political environment. Despite facing personal attacks from Maduro’s administration, which dismisses him as “a poor old man,” González has maintained a conciliatory and measured tone, emphasizing the need for national reconciliation.

González has consistently advocated for unity and calm, urging an end to the political polarization that has deepened under Maduro’s 11-year rule. He has expressed hope that a decisive opposition victory would make any attempts to contest the election results difficult. In contrast, Maduro has warned of a “bloodbath” if González wins, further highlighting the stark differences between the two candidates.
Now back to reality: Maduro wins by 1-3%… and until there is an actual revolution in the country, he will always win.
