On Thursday, Russian and Chinese nuclear-capable strategic bombers conducted a joint patrol near the U.S. state of Alaska in the North Pacific and Arctic regions. The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that Russian Tu-95MS “Bear” bombers and Chinese Xi’an H-6 bombers participated in the patrol, covering areas including the Chukchi and Bering seas, as well as the North Pacific. The patrol involved cooperation between Russian and Chinese crews throughout the flight, which lasted approximately five hours. They were escorted by Russian Sukhoi Su-30SM and Su-35S fighters during the operation. The patrol did not violate any foreign airspace.
