A devastating plane crash in Wyoming has claimed the lives of three members of the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame quartet, the Nelons, along with four others. The crash, which occurred Friday afternoon, involved Kelly Nelon Clark, co-founder of the Nelons, her husband Jason Clark, and their daughter Amber Nelon Kistler. The tragic news was confirmed by the surviving member, Autumn Nelon Streetman, who was not on the aircraft.

In a heartfelt statement, Autumn expressed gratitude for the prayers and support extended to her, her husband Jamie, and their unborn son, as well as to Jason’s parents, Dan and Linda Clark. The family appreciates the continued support as they face the difficult days ahead.
Also among the victims were Amber’s husband Nathan Kistler, their assistant Melodi Hodges, and the pilot Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa. There were no survivors from the crash. The group was traveling to join the Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska when the accident occurred. Autumn and Jamie Streetman, who were not on the plane, learned of the tragedy after arriving safely in Seattle, where they joined other gospel artists, including Bill and Gloria Gaither, to mourn and pray.
The aircraft involved in the crash was identified as a single-engine turboprop Pilatus PC-12/47E. The crash happened around 1 p.m. in Campbell County, Wyoming, near Gillette, approximately 250 miles north of Cheyenne. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB). NTSB spokesman Keith Holloway stated that the aircraft is in a remote location, and efforts are underway to document the scene and recover the aircraft for further examination.
