Sadly, it is clear that a full recovery from his vocal injury is not possible.”

The band also expressed gratitude to their fans, stating, “We are grateful beyond words for everyone who was pumped to get on the road with us one last time.”

In February, Tyler’s daughter Mia provided an update to PEOPLE on her father’s condition, saying he was doing “much better” but not entirely following doctor’s orders. “He’s not supposed to be talking sometimes, so I have to literally yell at him and be like, ‘You can’t be on the phone with me right now, let’s just text,'” she noted. Despite his vocal challenges, Mia joked about her father’s inability to remain quiet, adding that he’s “very healthy.”
The announcement marks the end of an era for Aerosmith.
