It was just more civilized.”

    Davis painted a picture of her father being concerned about the divisive nature of contemporary politics and suggested that he would work tirelessly to unite people. “If he were still alive today, he would be really scared for our democracy,” she said. “I think he would address the American people at what has divided us.”
