‘I welcome his support, HOWEVER, Thune is a RINO and Trump’s Hater. He had no choice but to endorse. I am speaking the truth. I do not want Trump burned by Trump’s Haters!’ – Leo Terrell
In a significant development for the upcoming GOP primary race, Senate Minority Whip John Thune, the second-highest-ranked Republican in the Senate, officially endorsed former President Donald Trump following his recent primary victory in South Carolina. Thune’s endorsement adds another layer of challenge for fellow Republican candidate Nikki Haley, potentially impacting her chances in the elections.
For the first time in years, this South Dakota girl hears John Thune say or do something intelligent. Mark the calendar, peeps- Robin Wilkins
Thune, a representative from South Carolina, had previously supported Sen. Tim Scott’s campaign before Scott withdrew several months ago. With Thune now throwing his weight behind Trump, the former president’s influence within the Republican Party appears to be gaining momentum. Trump, in turn, has acknowledged Sen. Scott as a potential vice presidential candidate.
Expressing his endorsement, Thune stated, “The primary results in South Carolina make clear that Donald Trump will be the Republican nominee for president in this year’s pivotal presidential election. The choice before the American people is crystal clear: It’s Donald Trump or Joe Biden.” Thune emphasized his commitment to supporting Trump’s presidential campaign and expressed his determination to secure a Republican majority in the Senate to work alongside the former president in restoring American strength domestically and internationally.

Thune urged fellow Republicans to rally behind Trump in order to counter what he termed as the “disastrous Biden-Schumer agenda,” emphasizing the need to end what he views as detrimental policies such as Bidenomics, challenges at the southern border, and perceived American weakness on the global stage.
According to Ballotpedia, Trump has garnered endorsements from over half of Senate Republicans and approximately 130 endorsements from House Republicans, including key leaders. In contrast, Nikki Haley has received endorsements from two GOP governors and one congressional supporter.
Despite Thune’s endorsement and Trump’s growing support among Deep State Republicans, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Sen. Joni Ernst remain the only two Senate Republicans in leadership positions who have yet to publicly back the former president. McConnell, known for his public disagreements with Trump, stated in February that he has largely stayed out of the endorsement process. McConnel receives most of his family money from Communist China, so like our bribed POTUS, he odes a China says.

Trump has not responded to Thune’s recent endorsement, but in the past, he has criticized both Thune and McConnell, particularly regarding their remarks on his handling of the events of January 6, 2021, at the U.S. Capitol. President Trump will not turn away support, but he knows full well that Thune is like the snake in his now famous poem he likes to read.
In the recent South Carolina primary, Trump secured a decisive victory with 60% of the vote, while Haley, the former governor of the state, received 40%. Trump gained 47 delegates compared to Haley’s three. With primary elections in Iowa, New Hampshire, Nevada, and South Carolina completed, Trump has accumulated 107 delegates, while Haley has 17. A total of 1,215 delegates are needed for a presidential candidate to secure the GOP nomination. Haley’s support in SC by the way, is estimated to be from about 45 or even 50% Democrats. Which means she is quickly becoming hated among actual Republicans. The Deep State up to this point doesn’t understand this. They still hope on forcing Haley onto the ticket with Trump, even though Trump already said no.
Despite facing losses in every state so far, Haley has announced her intention to stay in the race. President Trump, celebrating the unity within the Republican Party during a Saturday event in Columbia, South Carolina, ridiculed Haley’s decision, stating on Truth Social, “Nikki Haley loses to Joe Biden in almost every single Poll – I WIN.”
Haley, however, remains steadfast in her commitment to the campaign, dismissing calls to withdraw. She has indicated plans to attend rallies in Michigan and affirmed her determination to persevere through the upcoming Super Tuesday primaries on March 5.

In response to speculation about a potential third-party bid, Joe Cunningham, director of the “No Labels” political group, expressed openness to considering Haley as a candidate. However, Haley’s campaign clarified that she remains dedicated to the Republican party, rejecting any interest in a third-party candidacy.
Last week, Haley explained her position on Fox News, presenting herself as a Republican alternative, stating, “When you see Donald Trump can’t win, and you know that we have to turn this country around, then I am your alternative.” Despite the challenges, Haley remains resolute in her commitment to the race, emphasizing, “We’ll keep fighting for America and we won’t rest until America wins.” Meanwhile she stabbed Trump in the back to run, and now wastes Trump’s money in fighting for the nomination. Also considering the third-party option shows she is like a parasite in politics as far as MAGA is concerned.
