The Biden administration has issued new directives to the U.S. Border Patrol to admit, rather than remove, migrants from most countries in the Eastern Hemisphere. This decision marks a shift from earlier in the week when President Biden imposed a cap on asylum seekers at 2,500 per day.
The administration refers to these migrants, who have traversed multiple countries without seeking asylum, as “extra-hemispheric migrants.” This term underscores a nuanced approach to immigration, differentiating from more common phrases like “undocumented” instead of “illegal.”

A senior Biden administration official highlighted that dealing with “extra-hemispheric migrants” has always been challenging. Efforts have been intensified in collaboration with governments worldwide to improve the repatriation process for individuals from historically difficult countries such as China, Uzbekistan, Mauritania, and Senegal.
However, there are specific Eastern Hemisphere countries from which migrants will be promptly removed, including Georgia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. This directive was specifically communicated to Border Patrol agents in San Diego.
San Diego Border Patrol has been told to process all migrants in the Eastern Hemisphere except for six countries. This completely negates the so-called "Executive Order" the President signed last week.

Despite these new federal guidelines, agents in San Diego have expressed intentions to continue deportations across all nationalities, signaling potential discrepancies in policy enforcement.
Moreover, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security reportedly conducted 36 deportation flights last week, primarily targeting migrants from the Eastern Hemisphere. In contrast, individuals from the Western Hemisphere, specifically from South America, Central America, and the Caribbean, are generally allowed to stay and enter the court system.

However, certain families from countries like Mexico, Colombia, the Dominican Republic, El Salvador, Honduras, Guatemala, and Peru might face removal. Meanwhile, migrants from countries like Cuba, El Salvador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Venezuela are reportedly barred from entry.
By this point we have to all admit what is in front of our faces. Biden and the Democrats do not care what the public thinks. They will import millions more who will cost our nation trillions of dollars in the coming years, as well as rape, murder and rob countless Americans. Democrats did this to us.
