China is protesting and said this is a provocative move. They and their bribed President of the United States both say Taiwan is part of Red China. Even though the island has always been independent, the Communists believe they own all Chinese world-wide.
The Biden administration on Tuesday approved a substantial $360 million weapons sale to Taiwan. This deal, which involves providing the island with hundreds of armed drones, missile equipment, and related support materials, is expected to stir significant reactions from China.

With an already strained relationship between Washington and Beijing, the approval comes at a particularly tense time. China considers Taiwan to be a part of its territory and has expressed intentions to reclaim it by force if deemed necessary.
The weapons package consists of 291 Altius-600M systems—unmanned aerial vehicles equipped with warheads—and 720 Switchblade drones, which are described as “extended-range loitering munitions.” The State Department highlighted that this sale not only adheres to U.S. national, economic, and security interests but also supports Taiwan’s ongoing efforts to modernize its military forces and maintain a robust defensive posture.

The U.S. claims that this deal will enhance the security of Taiwan and contribute to maintaining political stability, military balance, and economic progress in the region. These developments are critical as tensions in areas such as the Taiwan Strait continue to influence regional dynamics.
Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te publicly expressed his gratitude towards the United States for this latest arms transaction during a press conference held in Taipei on Wednesday. He emphasized that these military acquisitions are vital for preserving peace and stability in the region. President Lai also affirmed Taiwan’s commitment to bolstering its national defense through continued military purchases and indigenous efforts.

The U.S. reassured that this latest arms transfer would not alter the military balance in the region. Although the transaction is consistent with past U.S. policy, it occurs at a time when both the United States and China have been attempting to mitigate tensions and foster smoother bilateral relations. It does make us all think of the true relationship between who is running the United States, and Joe Biden. Had Biden done as China wants, which is usually what he does, he would not be making any arms deals with Taiwan. So this is all a bit of a mystery.
