These maniacs have no clue about the climate. They also know nothing about Climate Change. All they know is they are paid to protest and will keep carrying out their wave of annoying attacks to get publicity.
Two climate activists were arrested at Stansted Airport, where Taylor Swift’s luxury plane is believed to be parked as her Eras Tour arrives in London. Essex Police reported that around 5 a.m. Thursday, officers responded to a report of unauthorized access to a private area of the airfield. The suspects, after breaking into a section far from the runway and main passenger terminal, damaged two aircraft. The specifics of the damage were not disclosed.

One problem.
Taylor Swift’s jet wasn’t even at the airstrip like the group thought.

The two women, aged 22 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and interference with the use or operation of national infrastructure. Despite the incident, airport operations were unaffected, and flights continued as scheduled.
Chief Superintendent Simon Anslow emphasized the police stance, stating, “We are not anti-protest, but we will always take action where criminal acts take place.”
While the police did not name the suspects, the climate protest group Just Stop Oil claimed responsibility. They stated that two of their supporters had painted multiple private jets on the airfield where Taylor Swift’s jet had landed hours earlier. The group identified the activists as Jennifer Kowalski, 28, from Dumbarton, and Cole Macdonald, 22, from Brighton. They reportedly entered the airfield around 5 a.m. and used fire extinguishers filled with orange paint to deface the jets.

The activists demand that the incoming UK government work with other nations to create a fair plan to end the extraction and burning of oil, gas, and coal by 2030. Just Stop Oil mentioned that on the previous day, their supporters had covered Stonehenge in orange powder paint as part of their protests.
Macdonald criticized the disparity between the lifestyles of billionaires and the conditions faced by millions due to climate change. “We’re living in two worlds: one where billionaires live in luxury, able to fly in private jets away from the other, where unlivable conditions are being imposed on countless millions,” he said. “This system that allows extreme wealth to be accrued by a few, to the detriment of everyone else, is destroying the conditions necessary to support human life.”
Kowalski, a former sustainability manager, expressed frustration over her inability to effect change through her work, leading her to take drastic measures to make her voice heard.
Just Stop Oil highlighted that 80% of the world’s population has never flown, while 1% of people are responsible for 50% of global aviation emissions. They pointed out that private jet users produce up to 14 times more carbon emissions compared to commercial flights. A single private jet flight can emit as much carbon dioxide as the average annual carbon footprint of an EU citizen, which is 8.2 tons.
Stansted Airport did not comment on the presence of Swift’s jet during the incident. However, a spokesperson mentioned that Swift’s jet wasn’t at the airport when the incident occurred. Nonetheless, flight tracking data indicated that Swift’s Falcon 7x landed at the airport around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Swift has faced criticism from climate activists for her frequent use of private jets. She previously owned two jets but sold one earlier this year. In 2023, her jets traveled up to 178,000 miles, emitting 1,200 tons of carbon dioxide, with most flights to major cities and concert stops.
A report estimated that for the 2024 Eras Tour, Swift will fly approximately 43,688 kilometers, emitting 511,154 kilograms of CO2. This is equivalent to driving 1,307,311 miles in a gasoline-powered vehicle or the annual emissions of 67 households. Despite this, her 2024 travel emissions are still lower than top celebrity emitters of 2023, such as Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, and Elon Musk. As if any of this matters.
