Trouble with the law yet again…
Travis Scott was arrested early Thursday morning for causing a drunken disturbance on a Miami yacht. This incident is not the first time the American rapper has had trouble with the law. The 33-year-old rapper, who has two young children with Kylie Jenner, was taken into custody at the Miami Beach Marina at 1:17 am. Police reports indicate that Scott, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster, was involved in a disturbance on a yacht that involved fighting. When questioned by the police about his drinking, Scott responded, “It’s Miami.”
In response to the incident, Scott posted a series of light-hearted tweets and shared an edited version of his mugshot on social media. His bond was set at $500 for trespassing and $150 for disorderly intoxication.

Scott has had several previous run-ins with the law. In 2021, he was at the center of the Astroworld tragedy, where 10 people died and hundreds were injured in a crowd crush at his music festival in Houston, Texas. Despite calls to stop the show, Scott continued performing. He faced numerous civil lawsuits accusing him of negligence and wrongful death. However, a Houston grand jury decided in June 2022 that Scott would not face criminal charges for the incident. In an interview with GQ in November 2022, Scott expressed his devastation over the tragedy, saying he thought about it all the time.
In addition to the Astroworld incident, Scott has been involved in other controversial incidents at his performances. In 2015, he was arrested for reckless conduct after encouraging fans at Lollapalooza to ignore security and climb over barricades. He pleaded guilty and received one year of supervised release. That same year, he encouraged fans to attack a man who took his shoe while crowd surfing at the OpenAir Festival in Switzerland. In 2017, he was arrested again for similar behavior at a performance in Northwest Arkansas. Later that year, a fan sued Scott after falling from a balcony and becoming paralyzed during a concert in Manhattan.

Scott has also been involved in other altercations outside of his performances. Last month, he and Tyga were reportedly involved in an early morning brawl in Cannes, France. The fight began after Scott and Tyga’s friend Alexander “AE” Edwards started swinging at each other during a party. Scott was seen leaving the stage in a huff but returned with his security, leading to more physical altercations.
In March 2022, Scott was involved in an altercation at Nebula nightclub in New York, where he allegedly attacked a sound engineer. The incident began after Scott was asked to lower the music volume, to which he responded aggressively. The New York Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest, but the matter was resolved with a settlement, and no charges were pressed.
