During a Fourth of July parade in Sunland-Tujunga, Los Angeles, actor Danny Trejo was involved in a brawl after a parade-goer allegedly threw a water balloon at his vintage convertible. Trejo, who was riding in his baby blue convertible, was seen wearing a long-sleeved white shirt and black pants when the water balloon hit his windshield. In response, he exited his vehicle and attempted to confront the individual suspected of throwing the balloon, a man wearing a tank top and backward hat. Trejo threw a punch but missed, and in the ensuing scuffle, he was pushed to the pavement. During the melee, two small children were quickly removed from the vicinity of Trejo’s car.

The situation escalated quickly as others joined the fray, leading to a large brawl that spilled onto the sidewalk where parade spectators were gathered. The video footage shows Trejo getting up from the ground, grabbing a green foldable chair, and throwing it into the crowd involved in the brawl. A woman rushed to restrain the actor, with others joining in to help calm the situation.
Spectators can be heard in the video pleading with Trejo and the brawlers to stop, reminding them of the presence of children. The altercation lasted about 30 seconds before it was broken up by bystanders.
