These clashes are almost always pre-planned for effect. The job of stirring up the public to be interested in the event is all important before it takes place.
Jake Paul might not be squaring off against Mike Tyson on Saturday, but his bout with new opponent Mike Perry promises plenty of excitement.
At Friday’s pre-fight faceoff, Paul and Perry engaged in the usual stare down, which quickly escalated with a barrage of trash talk. The tension peaked when Perry put his hands on Paul, prompting Paul to retaliate with a powerful shove that sent Perry reeling.

Security personnel swiftly intervened, surrounding both fighters to prevent the situation from spiraling out of control. Several security members were needed to restrain Perry, who appeared eager to retaliate against Paul.
As Perry was held back, Paul took the opportunity to rile up the crowd, looking pleased with the outcome. “He’s light. He flew like six feet,” Paul remarked following the altercation.
Paul, confident and provocative, claimed that UFC President Dana White would offer Perry a contract if he managed to knock him out. “You can tear up the contract because I’m going to defeat Mike Perry,” Paul declared. “Anyone you send my way, any of your MMA fighters, will be beaten. They’ve been trying to take me down.”
“They don’t want me in this sport,” Paul continued. “They hate that I run this sport. But when you try to assassinate a guy like me, it only makes me bigger. I’m on a mission from God.”
