Iran’s militants from Yemen are all regrets these days. Attacking Israel has not worked out to their liking.
In an exclusive report to Israel Hayom, a former Houthi official described the Yemeni group’s recent drone attack on Israel as a serious error. The drone strike in Tel Aviv, which resulted in one death and several injuries, was deemed unnecessary and dangerous by the ex-official.

The former Houthi leader suggested that supporting Palestinians through financial aid, media efforts, or humanitarian assistance would have been more appropriate. He emphasized that direct confrontation with Israel only exacerbates the suffering of Yemen’s civilian population, which is already enduring a severe humanitarian crisis.

He elaborated that the Houthis’ strategy involves using Yemen’s populace as human shields. By launching attacks that kill Israeli civilians, they risk provoking severe retaliatory measures. He warned that unlike Britain or the USA, which tend to target military installations, Israel might strike civilian areas, increasing the devastation in Yemen. The former official stressed that the conflict is between Israel and the Palestinians and that Yemen should not be drawn into a direct clash with Israel.
Admitting the group’s shortcomings, the ex-official revealed that the Houthis lack an air defense system capable of defending Yemen against Israeli retaliation. He expressed concern that the Israeli response could lead to a naval and air blockade on Yemen, worsening the already dire situation for its civilians.

The war and all hostilities will continue in the Middle East, at least until the United States once again has President Trump in the White House. The agents of chaos, the Democrat Party, and their wars must be stopped.
