    Texas Governor Exposes Democratic Hypocrisy in Migrant Crisis Management

    In a scathing critique, Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott lambasted Democratic city and state leaders for their handling of the migrant crisis at the southern border, highlighting the apparent hypocrisy of sanctuary cities. Governor Abbott accused Democrats of displaying genuine hostility towards illegal immigrants, pointing out the contradictions in their sanctuary city policies.

    During an interview on Thursday, Governor Abbott exposed what he perceives as the Democrats’ contradictory stance on illegal immigration. “They profess to be sanctuary cities and sanctuary states. They want to welcome them in until they actually do come in. And then when they come in, they say, no, no, no, no, no, we don’t want them here, we want to send them back to Texas. They’re for illegal immigration as long as it’s Texas and the border states that have to deal with that illegal immigration,” Abbott remarked.

    Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas criticized Abbott’s migrant busing policy on Wednesday, labeling it “a remarkable failure of governance” and accusing the governor of refusing to cooperate with officials in Democrat-led cities facing challenges from the surge in migrant arrivals.

    Governor Abbott initiated the busing of migrants to New York City and other sanctuary jurisdictions in protest of the Biden administration’s border policies. Since then, approximately 27,000 migrants have been sent to New York City, according to Abbott’s office, aiming to alleviate the strain on border communities grappling with the influx.

    Expressing his dismay, Governor Abbott deemed it “outrageous” that New York City cannot manage the immigration influx. “We have more people coming across our border every single day than what New York gets in a week or a month,” he emphasized.

    Abbott continued to lay blame for the border crisis directly on President Biden, highlighting the reversal of Trump-era policies that had led to the lowest illegal border crossings in 40 years. He pointed to the elimination of the “Remain in Mexico” policy, the Title 42 policy, the end of catch and release, and the halt in border wall construction as contributing factors to the escalating crisis.

    “The Biden administration was enforcing the immigration laws passed by Congress; the mayors of New York, the leaders of New Jersey and Chicago, etc., would not be having these problems,” Abbott argued.

    According to KJP… it’s “shameful” that Greg Abbott sends illegals to Democrat cities… Funny how she leaves out that they flood Texas because Biden doesn’t protect the southern border.

    Expressing optimism, Governor Abbott stated that Republicans in Congress have the potential to push impactful immigration reform through. He noted the growing frustration among Americans with the leadership in Washington, D.C., and highlighted the opportunity for Republicans to make a difference. “Republicans have the Democrats in Washington, D.C., in a very tough place. As long as the Republicans stick together, there is a chance of getting meaningful immigration reform legislation passed that will stop all the illegal immigration coming across the border,” he asserted.
