    Davos Dynamics: Zelensky’s Concerns, Trump’s Pledge, and Global Apprehensions in the Run-Up to 2024

    Zelensky is back on the fundraising trail at the World Economic Forum, as he tries to convince the U.S. and the EU to make progress on passing tens of billions of Dollars in new aid packages for Ukraine. But while the Biden Admin assures Zelensky that he has Washington’s support, they ignore the American citizen who just died in Kiev’s custody.  Mark Sleboda noted that the detainment, torture, and ultimately the death of Gonzalo Lira was not only something the Biden Admin allowed to happen by refusing to intervene—it was a warning to anyone in the region who openly criticizes Zelensky, no matter their nationality. 

    As the World Economic Forum (WEF) commences in Davos, Switzerland, the spotlight is firmly on two individuals: Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelensky. Trump, having recently solidified his position as the leader of the Republican Party in preparation for the 2024 US election, is generating considerable attention. Simultaneously, Zelensky finds himself grappling with the implications of Trump’s ascendancy, expressing concerns that reverberate beyond the boundaries of the United States.

    In a candid revelation reported by The New York Times, Zelensky, visibly perturbed, employed strong language to criticize a claim made by Trump regarding the containment of Vladimir Putin. Although the specific expletive was not disclosed, Zelensky indicated that if the US were to withdraw its support, Europe would inevitably ‘lose Ukraine.’ During a Q&A session moderated by Andrew with journalists, Zelensky dismissed the notion that Trump could effectively deter the Russian President from extending influence into other parts of Europe. According to Zelensky, Putin’s ambitions will persist, raising pivotal questions about the course of action the US, particularly under Trump’s leadership, would undertake in such a scenario. No one truly expects the man to say Trump would do a better job in helping Ukraine in ending the war. The man has already received over 150 billion American dollars, and lined his pockets with mansions, cars, resorts and more. Not just for him, as the U.S. backed Ukrainian dictator, but for his leadership. All paid off by American billions. Therefore, it is expected he wants the gravy train to continue. Lord knows if ‘The Big guy’ gets his cut. By now, Joe Biden may very well be close to being the first billionaire from grift at America’s expense.

    Zelensky emphasized the strategic importance of Ukraine, asserting that Europe would face a significant setback if the US were to disengage. He went further to request European Union troops for Ukraine, underscoring the urgency of international support for his nation. This plea follows Trump’s recent triumph in the Iowa Caucus, where he vowed to swiftly resolve the conflict in Ukraine should he win the presidential election, citing his familiarity with both Vladimir Putin and Zelensky.  Trump wants the war to end, but Zelensky wants to fight on, and kill off what remains of an entire generation of Ukrainians in a meat grinder.  As of late, Ukraine is now enlisting 50K women, as the average age of male troops is now in the 40s.

    Initially downplaying concerns about the potential impact of Trump’s reelection on Ukraine, Zelensky later conceded that a victory for the former US president could indeed influence military campaigns and settlement talks in his country. He attributed this concern to what he described as “radical voices from the Republican Party,” which, according to him, have caused tension and distress among Ukrainians.  These jokers call Trump the dictator and potential tyrant, when it is Biden and Zelensky that use authoritarian methods to keep power.

    Beyond Zelensky’s anxieties, others at Davos share apprehensions about Trump’s return to power. Attendees, view the outcome of the election as a potential risk for businesses, especially in the aftermath of Trump’s resounding victory over his Republican rivals in the Iowa caucuses. Zelensky, recognizing the need for global business support, actively engaged with corporate leaders at a private gathering organized by JPMorgan Chase, a key advisor to Ukraine on reconstruction efforts. Notable figures in the audience included Steve Schwarzman of Blackstone, Ray Dalio of Bridgewater, David Rubenstein of Carlyle, and Michael Dell of Dell.

    Zelensky took the opportunity to highlight the impact of US-China tensions on Ukraine, advocating for the involvement of Beijing in postwar reconstruction efforts. Additionally, he issued a call for mobilization, urging individuals of ‘mobilization age’ in Ukraine to contribute to the defense efforts. In a bold move, he even proposed punitive measures against Putin’s children and grandchildren.

Bets are in now, that if Russia does not decide to move further into Ukraine, by the time Trump is in office next January 20th, the current borders will not move more than a mile here or there. But Ukraine will lose hundreds of thousands more. This is what Zelensky brings to his country. This is what Biden and Obama have created. We all hope the millions in grift they received from their little cuts is enough to console their evil souls in what carnage they have created all for money.
