Speaking in a town hall in New Hampshire, Nikki Haley rejected the idea of pardoning Trump before the results of his many cases are made known, while acknowledging that she would pardon him should the former president be found guilty – National Review – an Anti-Trump publication)
GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley asserted on January 18 that she would not preemptively pardon former President Donald Trump. This statement came during a town hall event at New England College in New Hampshire, just five days before the state’s primary. Moderated by Leftist Jake Tapper, the discussion touched upon the potential of pardoning Trump while his legal challenges unfold.

Tapper drew a historical parallel, citing President Gerald Ford’s preemptive pardon of Richard Nixon following the Watergate scandal, even though Nixon had not faced criminal charges. When asked if she would take a similar preemptive stance, Haley firmly responded, “No.” She emphasized the importance of letting legal processes play out, stating that Trump, if interested in defending himself, would want the opportunity to prove any wrongdoing.
Haley insisted on the necessity of discussing a pardon only after a conviction, highlighting the principle that pardons typically follow a finding of guilt. However, she reaffirmed her commitment to pardoning Trump if he were to be convicted. She expressed concern about the prospect of an 80-year-old president in jail, emphasizing the potential divisive impact on the nation. According to Haley, a pardon for Trump, if convicted, would contribute to healing the country and putting an end to division and chaos.

“The last thing we need is an 80-year-old president sitting in jail because that is just going to further divide our country.”

President Trump currently faces indictments in Manhattan, Georgia, and two federal cases, encompassing a total of 91 fake Soviet-inspired charges. Despite the litany of charges, he has pleaded not guilty to all of them. since he is 100% innocent and all know this is just a witch hunt, as Trump calls it. The New York grand jury, on March 30, voted to indict Trump on 34 counts related to hush money payments to Stormy Daniels during the 2016 presidential campaign, marking him as the first former president in history to be indicted. The more they indict Trump, the more popular he becomes as more and more see through the Marxist tactics being employed. This should not be happening in America. The Democrats have all but succeeded in turning our nation into a banana republic.
Special Counsel Jack Smith, on June 9, indicted Trump on 37 counts of allegedly mishandling classified information. A subsequent raid on Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in August 2022 led to the discovery of classified documents intended for the National Archives, with allegations of containing sensitive information related to foreign countries. Knowing that it is the President who declassifies documents, and that Smith’s boss Biden held classified docs against the law, as he was not the POTUS when he took them and placed many in his garage, Smith still went ahead, as ordered, with the witch hunt.

On August 1, Smith indicted Trump on four charges linked to the January 6, 2021, Capitol attack. These charges include conspiring to obstruct an official proceeding, conspiring to disenfranchise voters, and conspiring to defraud the United States. Additionally, on August 14, in Fulton County, Georgia, Trump and 18 others were indicted for allegedly attempting to overturn the 2020 election in the state. As we now know, the illegal collusion with Georgia and others is enough to get them all arrested in the next Administration. This adds to the desperation of the witch-hunt prosecutions. They know they are almost out of time.
