Financial records obtained by the committee indicate that members of the Biden family, including Hallie Biden and Sara Biden, received over $1 million in payments from accounts linked to Walker and his Chinese business ventures with Hunter.

    Walker’s involvement in the joint venture Sinohawk Holdings, intended as a partnership with Chinese energy firm CEFC, has raised questions. The committee’s investigation revealed that several Biden family accounts, including Hunter and Hallie Biden, received approximately $1.038 million from the same Walker LLC account. Notably, these funds were deposited by Bladon Enterprises, purportedly owned by Romanian tycoon Gabriel “Puiu” Popoviciu, who injected more than $3 million between November 2015 and May 2017. In a 2017 email obtained by the Senate Finance Committee, Walker referred to himself as a “surrogate” for Hunter and his uncle, Jim Biden, particularly when assessing business opportunities.

    In December, IRS whistleblower Joseph Ziegler provided a new batch of evidence to the House Ways and Means Committee from his team’s tax investigation into Hunter Biden, codenamed Sportsman. The documents detailed a late January “crisis meeting” held at Morris’ home in Los Angeles with Hunter Biden and his team of accountants and lawyers. Initially defying a subpoena, Hunter Biden faced potential contempt of Congress charges.
