    Governor Greg Abbott of Texas slams Biden for freezing liquefied natural gas (LNG) exports, writes, “Biden’s decision to freeze LNG exports threatens Texas—and America. This reckless decision is a gut punch to the hard-working men and women in the energy industry. It also could cause some countries to rely upon dirty coal as opposed to cleaner burning natural gas.”

    The Biden regime’s decision to cut the knees out of the American LNG market will solidify Putin’s grip on the European energy market. Biden‘s LNG export ban will destroy American jobs, help finance our enemies, and make everyday life for working Americans more expensive. This policy cannot stand.’  President Trump, of course, released his own statement on this latest Biden act to hurt America on a large scale. 

    The administration plans to conduct a thorough assessment during this pause, citing the necessity for an updated evaluation since the last one in 2018. Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm highlighted the significant increase in natural gas exports since 2018, with the current level at 14 billion cubic feet, along with another 12 billion cubic feet under construction and a total of 48 billion cubic feet authorized. They are forever wanting to do studies at the whim of the environmental movement, which has a propensity to finding some snail or fly that they will always claim is near extinction, and right where exploration or land use is needed. This ends up delaying using resources for many years. President Trump has pledged to put a stop to this Marxist insanity.

    Granholm, when questioned about the necessity of the pause for the assessment, emphasized that ongoing projects would not be affected, as it would take years for them to produce and export natural gas. The move is seen as an attempt by the Biden administration to align with environmentalists who have expressed dissatisfaction with what they perceive as insufficient progress on environmental issues.

    The pause will impact thirteen projects currently in the queue between the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) and the Department of Energy (DOE), with a total capacity of twelve billion cubic feet.
