Carville noted that Biden is trailing by two points in average polls against former President Donald Trump and emphasized the missed opportunity to connect with a vast audience during the Super Bowl.

    During an interview on CNN’s “Smerconish” on February 10, Carville asserted, “It’s the biggest television audience, not even close, and you get a chance to do a 20, 25-minute interview on that day, and you don’t do it. That’s a kind of sign that the staff or yourself doesn’t have much confidence in you. There’s no other way to read this.” This marks the second consecutive year that President Biden has declined a Super Bowl interview, breaking with the tradition started by President Obama in 2009.

    The Super Bowl, a moment when the entire nation unites, presents a unique opportunity for a sitting president to address the American public, especially in an election year. Michael Smerconish, the host, concurred with Carville, emphasizing the significance of the event as a platform for free and widespread advertising.

    Carville also repeatedly mentioned President Biden’s age during the interview, highlighting the challenges associated with it. Acknowledging his own age, Carville remarked, “He is old. I know what it is because I’m almost as old as he is, and it’s never going to get better.”

    These comments on Biden’s age come at a time when concerns about his mental acuity have surfaced following Special Counsel Robert Hur’s report on the mishandling of classified documents. The report, released on February 8, revealed that Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials” after his vice presidency, but due to a lack of sufficient evidence and the president’s “poor memory,” no prosecution was pursued.

    The report characterized President Biden as “a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory” and raised concerns about his mental fitness, describing it as “hazy,” “significantly limited,” and displaying signs of “diminished faculties and faulty memory.”

Ramaswamy predicted that the Democrats might consider former first lady Michelle Obama for the 2024 White House bid.

    “Real Time” host Bill Maher added his perspective, stating on February 9 that Democrats still have time to replace President Biden at the Democratic National Convention this summer. Polls reflect widespread worries about Biden’s mental fitness, with a recent NBC News poll indicating that 72 percent of Americans are concerned about his age.
