‘Thanks to the Texas National Guard for guarding the southern border and denying illegal entry into Texas.’ Governor Abbott
Texas Governor Greg Abbott unveiled a comprehensive strategy on Friday to address what he labels as the “President Joe Biden’s border crisis.” The initiative involves establishing a military base camp in Eagle Pass, spanning 80 acres of land. This facility aims to house and support up to 1,800 Texas National Guard members, with an additional capacity for 500 more, significantly enhancing the state’s border security capabilities.

During a press conference, Governor Abbott emphasized that the construction of the “Forward Operating Base” would contribute to the effectiveness and efficiency of Texas Military Department soldiers operating in Eagle Pass. He asserted that the base camp would lead to a “dramatic improvement” in the living conditions of soldiers deployed to the U.S.-Mexico border, expressing gratitude for the commitment of the Texas National Guard in responding to the perceived border challenges.
Since Biden and the Democrats are helping an actual invasion, Texas decides to defend America. ‘How did they get here? Not families but 18 to 40 yr old males from Lebanon, China, Egypt. Texas Lt Governor goes off about the invasion. This is life or death Joe Biden must secure the border. see fast clip below

The Forward Operating Base will boast essential amenities, including a 700-seat dining facility, a recreation center, laundry facilities, WiFi access, individual soldier accommodations, chaplaincy programs, and medical and psychological health facilities. Major General Thomas Suelzer highlighted the Texas military department’s plans to expand operations both north and south of Eagle Pass. He mentioned the addition of three fan boats and the expansion of the drone program and radar truck capabilities, underscoring the comprehensive approach being taken under Governor Abbott’s leadership to safeguard the state.

Governor Abbott has been proactive in implementing measures to fortify the border region, such as the recent installation of razor-wire fencing in Eagle Pass. However, this move led to a legal dispute between the Abbott administration and the White House. Despite a recent Supreme Court ruling allowing federal agents to remove the wire during the ongoing appeals process, Abbott defended the decision, stating that the fencing has proven effective in deterring illegal immigration.
The governor asserted that the Eagle Pass area, previously a hotbed for illegal crossings with up to 5,000 individuals at times, has experienced a significant decline in illegal activity since the implementation of enhanced border security measures. Abbott expressed his commitment to expanding deterrence and denial efforts against illegal entry into the United States.
Biden needs to get out of the way and let Texas secure the border. And if he tries to cut the wire, we will put it right back. We have more wire installers than they have wire cutters. Here’s a short video from my visit to Shelby Park in Eagle Pass: pic.twitter.com/AjlilEHmGj

Criticism of the Biden administration’s handling of the border situation was a focal point in Governor Abbott’s statements. He echoed long-standing Republican concerns that President Biden’s reversal of certain Trump-era border controls contributed to the surge in illegal immigration. Citing data from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Abbott highlighted a historic high of 2,475,669 encounters at the U.S.–Mexico border during the 2023 fiscal year. Virtually no one was expelled, and this is not counting the gottaways or the HUNDREDS of thousands Biden now flies into the U.S> using the criminal illegal app allowing criminals to sign up in other nations and then fly into America, bypassing the cartels on the border.
Abbott emphasized that control over the border could be relinquished if the Biden administration adopted similar strategies to those implemented in Texas. Despite a Supreme Court decision granting a temporary pause on a lower court ruling blocking federal agents from disturbing the razor-wire fencing, Abbott remains steadfast in his commitment to fortifying the border and addressing what he perceives as a pressing crisis.
